?It’s been nearly two months since Eo “soO” Yun-su returned to the professional StarCraft II scene after completing his military service, and while he has struggled for the first couple of weeks, soO seems to be in solid form. Most notably, he won ITaX Super Series #81 at the start of the month and enters this bout with a 4-1 record (6-1 including two team events).
So even though soO has yet to find his old form, he is improving and shouldn’t be underestimated. Still, it makes sense for the esports bookies to price him as an underdog against Joo “Zest” Sung-wook, who beat soO 4-1 during ITaX Super Series #80 at the end of May.
Zest has since placed six games and won all but one against Byun “ByuN” Hyun-woo, who beat him 2-1 on Sunday. Besides his past success against SoO, Zest is also very efficient in Protoss vs Zerg matchups with a 60.52% career win rate, which he further improved to 70.59% over the last 51 outings. On the other side, soO has a 61.36% career win rate into Protoss, albeit only a 55.84% across his previous 77 (43-34) and has lost two of his last five ZvP games.
Zest should win, but he shouldn’t be priced at only -400, and we aren’t too excited about backing him with a -1.5 map handicap at +100 either. Instead, we’ll trust soO to win at least one map and force a three-map series at plus money.

BUNNY vs BYUN SCII BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

Byun “ByuN” Hyun-woo last met with Lee “Bunny” Jae-seon in December 2021, when he claimed (2-1) his 10th head-to-head victory (10-6) and third consecutive. However, they have not met once since then, so we would take the past results with a grain of salt.
Still, it makes sense for ByuN to be priced as the favourite. He is in terrific form, with just one defeat from his last nine outings and just two since the start of June (12-2). Bunny’s figures are a bit worse with two defiant from his last nine, but he had to face tougher opponents.
It’s also important to note that Bunny has been phenomenal in PvP matchups of late, with a 78.95% win rate over the last 19 bouts (15-4). Albeit 19 games is a fairly small sample size, so hardly more impressive than ByuN’s 69.50% career win rate in mirrored matchups.
At the offered SCII esports betting odds, there is no value backing either player on the moneyline, so we’ll settle for overs. Byun should win, but he has dropped at least one map in PvP matchups in three of his last four outings.
