Seattle Surge are 0-2 heading into the second week of CDL Major 1 Qualifiers, with defeats against Los Angeles Guerrillas (2-3) and Boston Breach (1-3). On the other side, London Royal Ravens are 2-0, having won against New York Subliners (3-0) and Los Angeles Guerrillas (3-2).
But despite Seattle Surge’s poor record, they enter this match as -138.89 favourites with CoD betting sites, and there is a good reason for that. Surge have looked much better on respawn maps and are arguably a much more talented roster than Royal Ravens. This might sound biased, considering they’re 0-2, but we have faith in this team’s raw talent and their ability to bounce back.
Moreover, London Royal Ravens looked a bit shaky last week, so we wouldn’t overreact to their perfect record. This could be a close one since it’s hard to imagine Seattle Surge dominating the Ravens following their unconvincing run last week, but they should come out ahead either 3-1 or 3-2.
Seattle Surge to win
FLORIDA MUTINEERS vs MINNESOTA R?KKR CoD BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

Minnesota R?KKR secured a highly controversial victory over OpTic Texas to kick off the 2023 Call of Duty League (CDL) season, to which they added a commanding win against Toronto Ultra (3-1). With that, R?KKR enter the second week of CDL Major 1 qualifiers as one of three teams with a 2-0 record, putting them in an excellent position to lock in a top-eight finish.
Florida Mutineers started the season with a 3-2 victory against Las Vegas Legion but then suffered a devastating 0-3 defeat against OpTic, who took no prisoners after deciding to forfeit their opener. Had the Mutineers performed better against OpTic, we would believe they could win here, but their chances to come out ahead seem very slim.
They might take a respawn, but Florida Mutineers shouldn’t cause too many issues for R?KKR, who are clearly the better team.

NEW YORK SUBLINERS vs LOS ANGELES GUERRILLAS CoD BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

Best Odds: | Subliners -120.48 at BetOnline | Guerrillas -120.48 at BetOnline |
When: | December 9, 2022 | 18:00 EST |

This is a very tough match to predict, featuring two very shaky CoD teams. New York Subliners have managed to win just one map in the opening week (0-3 vs Royal Ravens, 1-3 vs Toronto Ultra), whereas Los Angeles Guerrillas won their opening match against the Surge (3-2) but then lost against Royal Ravens (2-3).
The Guerrillas have won one game, so you have to respect them a bit more, and you could argue that their teamwork looks cleaner. Subliners, while a very talented roster, don’t seem to click together, and until we see some improvement in that department, it’s tough to side with the New York squad.
Despite what the latest CDL betting odds show, we have far more confidence in Los Angeles Guerrillas, who should win with plenty to spare. A bet on a 3-0 sweep for the Guerrillas pays at +550, which is a solid longshot bet against the disorganised New York Subliners.

TORONTO ULTRA vs ATLANTA FAZE CoD BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

Atlanta FaZe lost their season opener against Boston Breach (1-3) and bounced back with a narrow (3-2) victory against Los Angeles Thieves on Sunday. FaZe deserved to win, but it was a very close series that could easily have ended the other way.
Atlanta FaZe have yet to show the expected level of play, but they can feel confident going into this match, knowing that they have historically dominated Toronto Ultra. That might not mean much with all the new faces on the two rosters, but even now, Atlanta FaZe look stronger.
Toronto Ultra lost against Minnesota R?KKR (1-3) in their first match of the season and defeated the New York Subliners (3-1), which is hardly worth celebrating. There’s a world where Toronto Ultra shift into a higher gear on Friday, but a 3-1 victory for FaZe seems like the most likely outcome.
