Minnesota R?KKR are 0-3 after the first two weeks of CDL 2024 Major 2 Qualifiers, with three 2-3 losses against Toronto Ultra, OpTic Texas, and Boston Breach. The R?KKR played well in all three series but couldn’t make it past the finish line, perfectly illustrating where they stand — they’re good, but not great.
After beating Miami Heretics, Atlanta FaZe stumbled against the New York Subliners on Sunday in a close five-map series. The Subliners are in exceptional form, so that loss isn’t too concerning, but it proves that FaZe have some work to do to reclaim their throne as the CDL’s top dogs.
As the CoD esports betting odds suggest, this is Atlanta FaZe’s game to lose, and it’s tough to argue with that. Minnesota R?KKR can have their moments, and they played exceptionally well against Toronto Ultra in the first week, the losses to Boston Breach and OpTic Texas suggest they’re not ready for FaZe yet.

Seattle Surge looked like they’re in a rough spot ahead of the CDL 2024 Major 2 Qualifiers. They’ve already lost to the New York Subliners and Carolina Royal Ravens, and considering the schedule ahead, the Surge will need a miracle to finish this stage inside the top eight.
Things won’t get any easier for Seattle on Friday when they face off against Toronto Ultra, who are 3-0 with wins against Miami Heretics, Minnesota R?KKR, and Las Vegas Legion. The series against the R?KKR was the only one where the Ultra looked like they could lose, but it had more to do with Minnesota playing well.
Toronto Ultra are on cruise control heading into this match, and there’s no reason to doubt them and their ability to crush the uninspiring Seattle Surge.
