According to a report by Sensor Tower, Fortnite for iOS has earned more than $50 million since its release. Launched on March 15, Fortnite Mobile became an instant sensation and the numbers speak for themselves.
Fortnite is the most popular game of the year. The game is still on an early access phase and the mobile version started as an invite-only. On April 1, the invite-only period finished and all users were allowed to download the game.
A month later, Season 4 started and the numbers grew even more. The new season includes fresh features on the map and different items. Players can now acquire new skins, emotes and graffiti they can paint on any surface.
In order to get access to the new content, players must acquire a Battle Pass. Most of Fortnite’s revenue comes from those passes, it unlocks all the new content and the weekly challenges. During Season 4, players must complete different challenges in order to increase their experience in-game. Some of the challenges include getting kills on specific towns or finding objects.
So far, Season 4 has been the most successful for Epic Games and Fortnite. The map changes, new content and challenges helped to grow the already broad audience. On top of it all, the game is now available for iOS. Android users will have to wait a little longer in they want to enjoy this game or their devices.
Epic Games conquered the battle royale genre, as the game and community grows, the studio is focused on improving Fortnite.
