Spodek Arena in Katowice hosted its first StarCraft II event in 2013 (IEM Season VII – Katowice) as the third event of the Electronic Sports League (ESL) circuit, but it wasn’t until March 2014 that the Polish stadium hosted its first StarCraft World Championship.
