Martin “Yike” Sundelin is set to embark on a new chapter in his career, as he reportedly joins Karmine Corp for the 2025 League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) season.

According to reports, the former G2 Esports jungler has reached a verbal agreement with Karmine Corp, a team aiming to establish itself as a top contender in the LEC.

This move follows Yike’s recent departure from G2, where he spent two successful years.

Yike quickly attracted attention from multiple teams after G2 allowed him and support player Mihael “Mikyx” Mehle to explore their options without a buyout.

While organisations such as GIANTX and Rogue showed interest, the Swedish jungler ultimately decided to join Karmine Corp, a French team known for its passionate fanbase and accomplishments in the European Regional Leagues.

Led by Kamel “Kameto” Kebir, the organisation aims to make a mark in the LEC by building a roster filled with promising talent.

The addition of Yike, the 2023 LEC Rookie of the Year, marks a significant step forward for Karmine Corp as they look to improve on their mixed 2024 season.

Yike initially gained recognition in the LFL with LDLC OL, where his standout performances earned him a spot on G2 Esports ahead of the 2023 season.

Despite the pressure of filling Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski’s shoes as the only rookie on the team, Yike thrived, helping G2 secure seven out of eight LEC titles since his arrival.

His ability to adapt to different metas and maintain a high level of play contributed to G2’s domestic dominance in 2024, even though their international results at Worlds fell short of expectations.

With Yike joining as their first-choice jungler, Karmine Corp is betting on his potential to elevate the team to new heights in the LEC.

His arrival finalizes Karmine Corp’s roster for the 2025 season, which is expected to feature:

  • Top: Kim “Canna” Chang-dong
  • Jungle: Martin “Yike” Sundelin
  • Mid: Vladimiros “Vladi” Kourtidis
  • ADC: Caliste “Caliste” Henry-Hennebert
  • Support: Rapha?l “Targamas” Crabbé

The move signals a clear statement of intent from Karmine Corp as they prepare for the upcoming season, with hopes of breaking into the upper echelon of the LEC.

All eyes will be on Yike as he seeks to prove himself once again and help Karmine Corp climb the ranks of the European League of Legends scene.
