BNK FearX won both their LCK 2024 Summer Week 5 matches against T1 and KT Rolster, which was a nice change after a 1-3 run over the third and fourth weeks. Most of their success is thanks to the changed approach to drafting, with FearX now putting their players on comfort picks rather than following what other teams do.
Nongshim RedForce also found some success last weekend when they defeated DRX. But they also looked awkward and did not deserve the 2-0 result.
Nongshim RedForce are the exact opposite of FearX regarding what they want to do with their drafts, which leads to less confident performances. And while there is no quality difference between the two sides, FearX have looked way more comfortable in their recent games.

Esports betting sites are giving Gen.G a 99% implied probability of beating OKSavingsBank BRION. And while there are reasons for it — including Gen. G’s 2-0 sweep of BRION in Week 2 — the kill lines on this fixture have reached an absurd number.
Gen.G have averaged 15.6 kills and 8.2 deaths per game this split, which are much better figures than OKSavingsBank BRION’s 9.9 kills and 15.3 deaths. Still, those stats do not show that BRION are feisty underdogs, which they proved last week against Kwangdong Freecs and, to some extent, against Dplus KIA.
There is no reason to believe Gen.G can ever lose this series under normal circumstances, but it’s also unlikely that Gen.G can win with over 11 kills to spare on BRION’s map pick.
