Karmine Corp lost the first Showmatch in Barcelona 1-2, yet they enter the rematch as $1.54 favourites to take revenge on the Spanish squad. The betting odds make sense since KC weren’t supposed to lose the first time out, and it’s hard to imagine them not delivering in front of the home crowd.
One thing that was evident in the first match between these two squads is that Karmine Corp’s early game is significantly better than KOI’s. However, their performance in the mid-late game was rather lacklustre.
That problem is challenging to fix and shows a lack of fundamentals and consistency. A stronger early game indicates better individual talent, whereas the performance in the mid-late game gives a clearer picture of whether the team is on the same page and if the players know how to play with each other.
If we go purely off the individual talent, Karmine Corp are clear favourites, but we don’t believe they had enough time to fix the fundamental issues they’ve shown in December. That is not to say KC can’t win, but based on what we saw last time out, we should be in for another close affair.
