?JD Gaming lost against Top Esports on Saturday (1-2), but it was more TES playing well rather than JDG underperforming. It marked JDG’s third defeat of the season (4-3) and first after beating LGD Gaming (2-0), FunPlus Phoenix (2-1), Team WE (2-0), and Oh My God (2-0) over the last four weeks.
Invictus Gaming enter this bout with a 3-5 record and are fresh off a 0-2 defeat against EDward Gaming on Sunday. Even though they were outclassed in that bout, Invictus have been playing surprisingly well of late, proving that they can be competitive against other mid-table teams.
The offered LoL betting odds on this match show JD Gaming as the favourites, which is fair, but JDG are not significantly stronger than Invictus Gaming, so there’s a chance we might see an upset. No result would surprise us; this should be a competitive series and it could easily go the distance.

?Rare Atom won against LGD Gaming (2-1) and ThunderTalk Gaming (2-1) last week, which is nothing to write home about. What’s more, those were RA’s first two victories after a five-game losing streak with defeats against LNG Esports (1-2), Victory Five (1-2), Bilibili Gaming (0-2), Invictus Gaming (0-2), and Anyone’s Legend (1-2).
With a 3-5 record, Rare Atom are not in a terrible spot, but they’ve only beaten two of the weakest teams in the league and Top Esports in January. Results like that prove that Rare Atom should do well against other mid-table teams, but we wouldn’t expect much more than that.
Royal Never Give Up are 7-2, firmly seated in the upper half of the league standings as one of LPL’s top teams. On Sunday, they even handed LNG Esports their first defeat of the season, which alone is enough to suggest that RNG shouldn’t struggle against Rare Atom. Anything less than a 2-0 sweep will be a disappointment.
