?Eo “soO” Yun-su is priced as a huge favourite for his bout against Kim “Ryung” Dong-won on Tuesday, and it’s hard to argue with this logic. The two Korean StarCraft II esports pro players have met 13 times since 2014, and all but two series belonged to soO.
However, it’s important to note that Ryung’s only two victories against his compatriot happened earlier this year, at the 2022 Global StarCraft II League Season 2 Qualifier, when Ryung won twice with 2-1. Since then, he has played two more series against soO, but lost both, including a 0-2 defeat on Thursday.
Considering the player’s form and their head-to-head results, soO should win, so the only question is whether it will be a 2-0 sweep or not. Admittedly, there’s a good chance Ryung walks away from this match empty-handed, but +120 on over 2.5 maps is a bit too generous.
Just last month, Ryung won against Sasha “Scarlett” Hostyn and Kim “herO” Joon-ho, so he should have at least one map in him. But since we don’t expect Ryung to win, overs on the map total makes more sense than a handicap bet at -125.

?Lee “Rogue” Byeong-yeol is priced at just -151.52 to defeat Max “Astrea” Angel, which doesn’t seem right. Even though Rogue should be favoured, these two players look pretty evenly matched.
Rogue and Astrea last met in December 2021, when the American SCII pro claimed his first head-to-head victory (2-1). The 25-year-old has since improved drastically and enters this match as no.2 on the ESL Pro Tour 2022/23 NA standings and no.9 on the Korean standings. In contrast, Rogue is ranked no.7 in the Korean rankings, but he hasn’t won a single event since 2022 GSL S1: Code S in May.
It’s also worth noting that in July, Astrea won HomeStory Cup XXI and reached the second round of playoffs at DH SC2 Masters 2022, where his only defeat came against the eventual champion, Park “Dark” Ryung-woo.
We wouldn’t say that Atrea is an undeniably better player than Rogue, but the offered SCII betting odds underestimate him a bit. This match can easily reach three maps, but we prefer a moneyline bet on Astrea at plus money.
