Both players, who had been struggling in recent events, delivered strong performances, helping their team secure a spot in one of the biggest Counter-Strike 2 events of 2024.

Team Falcons also faced a challenging path to the BLAST Premier Fall Final but they rose to the occasion.
After an opening win against M80, Falcons had to overcome two of the highest-ranked teams in the tournament, Complexity and Virtus.pro.
Led by Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer and bolstered by the experience of players like Emil “Magisk” Reif, Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen, and the standout performer Alvaro “SunPayus” Garcia, Falcons secured their place in the Fall Final.
Falcons�� match against Virtus.pro was particularly one-sided.
On their pick of Vertigo, Falcons dominated the first half, leading 10-2 before eventually closing out the map 13-10, thanks in part to a clutch 1v4 from SunPayus.
The second map, Mirage, saw Falcons once again take control with a 9-3 half, eventually winning 13-6 to complete their sweep.
This tournament marked a much-needed return to form for Falcons, who had struggled in recent months.
SunPayus, who had openly discussed his struggles throughout 2024, showed significant improvement, while Snappi found his fragging ability just in time for the showdown.
With three Danish players on the roster, Falcons will be eager to perform well on home soil in Copenhagen.
As both FaZe Clan and Team Falcons head to the Fall Final, they join a lineup of the world��s best teams, ready to compete for glory in one of the most anticipated events of the year.

“It’s been a decent tournament. We had some really good moments against Vitality, even though we lost. We’re happy to get the season started.”
Artem “?r1nkle?” Moroz had a notably tough series, averaging a 0.62 rating and managing only four AWP kills.

Inferno saw NiP struggle further, posting only five rounds despite winning both pistol rounds, ultimately ending their campaign in disappointment.
In the final series of BLAST Premier Fall Groups, Natus Vincere (NaVi) claimed the sixth Fall Final spot by defeating Complexity 2-0 (13-11, 13-6).

NAVI��s run through the groups was challenging, marked by two losses to Team Liquid.
However, they capitalised on their second qualification attempt against Complexity.
The match on Anubis was closely contested, with Complexity leading 6-1 on the counter-terrorist side before NaVi turned the tide.
Key performances from Justinas “?jL?” Lekavicius and crucial entries by Aleksi “?Aleksib?” Virolainen helped secure the map.
On Nuke, NaVi dominated from the start, concluding with a 9-3 offensive half and a quick series close.
Jonathan ‘EliGE’ Jablonowski played a lone hand for Complexity throughout the series, finishing as their only player to record a positive kill/death difference (+5) and the third-highest rated player on the server (1.15).

On Ancient, G2’s Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov led the charge with 16 kills in the first half, and while Max “maxster” Jansson shone on the terrorist side, G2 secured the map off the back of a strong first half performance.
Inferno saw G2 quickly gaining a 6-2 lead before Ninjas in Pyjamas briefly rallied.
However, G2’s solid performance on both sides of the map led to a comfortable victory.
Despite the win, G2’s in-game leader, Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski, admitted the team made some mistakes but felt no significant pressure during the match.

Vitality emerged victorious in Group B, defeating Astralis 2-1 (10-13, 13-10, 13-7) to secure their place at the Fall Final.
Astralis started strong on Vertigo, winning 13-10 after a competitive first half.
However, Vitality bounced back on Mirage, overcoming a 0-7 deficit to win 13-10.
The decider, Nuke, was a tight contest in the first half, with Astralis holding a 7-5 lead.

NaVi dominated the early stages of Nuke, leading 10-2, but Liquid’s strong defence made it a closer 13-9 finish.

The decider, Inferno, featured dramatic swings, with NaVi initially gaining control with a nine-round streak.
Liquid, however, turned the game around on the counter-terrorist side, driven by Roland “ultimate” Tomkowiak’s performance, and secured the map 13-10, earning their spot in the Fall Final.

Nuke saw a closer contest, but FaZe’s critical mistake at 11-11 proved costly.

Twistzz’s reported move to Team Liquid raises questions about FaZe’s roster, especially with the impending merger with GameSquare.
Vitality, bolstered by the addition of Mezii, seems to be in top form as they head into the BLAST World Final and the first Major in CS2 history in March 2023.
Both Vitality and FaZe, if their core roster survives changes, are expected to be favourites in upcoming events, providing exciting matchups in late-2023 BLAST events and potentially meeting again in a grand final.

]]>Early on Thursday, Ninjas in Pyjamas clashed with Natus Vincere in the first elimination game of the Fall Final in Group A, and it would be the latter that would claim a resounding 2-0 victory.
The series began on Overpass, which was the pick of NiP; however, NaVi looked very much at home on their opponent’s pick, as they jumped out to a quick 10-2 lead at halftime after a dominant CT side.
Led by Kristian ��k0nfig�� Wienecke, NiP would return serve with its own dominant CT side, claiming nine of the next 11 rounds to bring the scoreline back to 11-12 before NaVi wrapped up the series with a 13th round win.
Unfortunately for NiP fans and neutral Counter-Strike viewers, the second map wasn��t even close, as NaVi closed out the series with a 13-6 win on Mirage to close out the series and send the Ninjas packing.
With Oleksandr ��s1mple�� Kostyliev taking a break from competitive play, Valeriy ��b1t�� Vakhovskiy and Justinas ��jL�� Lekavicius had to stand up and carry the team, and they did, recording an equal server-high rating of 1.34.

The second of the elimination matches featured Danish rivals Astralis and Heroic, with both teams seeking a playoff berth to play in front of a sold-out Royal Arena in Copenhagen.
Heroic, who are playing this event with three stand-ins, went into the matchup as clear underdogs; however, they went on to claim map one (Vertigo) 13-8.
Heroic��s new signing, ex-Astralis player Peter ��dupreeh�� Rasmussen, topped the server in multiple categories, finishing with the highest rating (1.48), most kills (20) and best kill/death difference (+6).
The second map of the series would be Astralis�� pick of Overpass, which would turn out to be much closer than Vertigo, with the teams trading 8-4 halves to take the game into overtime.
However, after just four rounds, Heroic wrapped up the map with a 16-13 victory to claim the all-Denmark series 2-0 and advance to the quarter-finals.

Meanwhile, FaZe Clan and Cloud9 met in the upper-bracket final of Group A, where FaZe completed another comeback victory to book their place in the semi-finals, while Cloud9 advanced to the quarter-finals with the loss.
The final match of the day featured Team Vitality and Complexity, and even though the North American organisation pushed the world number five to three maps, Mathieu ��ZywOo�� Herbaut and his team claimed the series 2-1.

FaZe Clan enter BLAST Premier Fall Final 2023 as the most in-form team on Counter-Strike 2. They’ve won three consecutive tournaments — Intel Extreme Masters Sydney 2023, Thunderpick World Championship 2023, and CS Asia Championships 2023 — and are on a 15-game winning streak.
In contrast, Ninjas in Pyjamas haven’t looked great on CS2, doing no better than a top-six finish at the CS Asia Championships. Moreover, NiP recently made roster changes and have not yet formed the needed synergy to compete at the top level.
NiP nearly defeated FaZe Clan (25-28) at the CS Asia Championships at the start of the month, suggesting they might do fine on Wednesday. But at the offered Counter-Strike betting odds, FaZe Clan to sweep makes the most sense.

Cloud9 signed Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhaylov on November 2 and have since looked much improved; however, we’ve only seen them play two games with the new roster — against FaZe Clan (1-2) and BIG (2-0). Cloud9 still have a lot more to prove following a shaky run through the last couple of months, but things are looking up for the Russian squad.
At the end of October, Natus Vincere officially benched Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyljev and signed ex-Sprout AWP star Ihor “w0nderful” Zhdanov. But while we know w0nderful is an outstanding player, we’ve yet to see the new-look roster in action.
There are still a few question marks above Cloud9 and how they’ll do at the top level, but it’s easier to trust the Russian squad than NaVi, who’ve lost their star player and have no official games on the record in over a month.

Like many other Counter-Strike esports teams, Team Vitality have made some roster changes in recent times. While new signing William “mezii” Merriman is a solid addition, we don’t know the former Fnatic player can help this team find more traction.
In October, Team Vitality crashed out of More esports betting tips“>Intel Extreme Masters Sydney 2023 in 13th-16th place; however, they were eliminated by the eventual champions, FaZe Clan, so they deserve some slack for it. Still, the Bees have not played an official CS2 match since then.
Despite losing two key players, Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard and Martin “stavn” Lund, Heroic have managed to form a competitive lineup for BLAST Premier Fall Final 2023 by acquiring Rasmus “Zyphon” Nordfoss on loan and convincing Casper “cadiaN” M?ller to play one last tournament with the team. And yet, they’re priced as +175 underdogs.
This doesn’t make much sense, considering Heroic’s current roster isn’t much weaker than their previous lineup. We must also consider that Vitality, as strong as they may seem, have not shown much on CS2.

Complexity were one of the weakest tier-one teams in the latter stages of the CS:GO era, but since the transition to CS2, they’ve found momentum and made the finals of Intel Extreme Masters Sydney 2023. Unfortunately, Complexity didn’t manage to keep their wheels spinning and, a week later, exited Thunderpick World Championship 2023 in 9th-12th place.
Astralis have reportedly signed Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard and Martin “stavn” Lund, but due to the BLAST Premier rulebook, those two will not be allowed to join the team for this tournament. That might explain why Astralis are priced as underdogs.
Even though it’s fair to see Complexity priced as favourites, betting on over 2.5 maps makes more sense. This looks like a 50-50 match, and considering the teams don’t share map pools, there’s a good chance we will see a three-part series.

The move sees mezii taking on the role previously held by Magisk, a player integral to Vitality’s success, including their victory in the BLAST Paris Major and an 18-week stint as the world’s No.1 team.
From a statistical perspective, mezii is expected to seamlessly replace Magisk, and his track record supports this transition.
Despite sometimes flying under the radar on the playing field, mezii is recognized as an experienced player with the capacity to adapt to any situation.
Mezii’s professional journey dates back to 2017, gaining significant attention during his tenure with Cloud9’s “Colossus” roster in September 2020.
His prowess as the standout player on the team has since led him to Endpoint in 2021 and, more recently, fnatic in August 2021.
Mezii showcased his leadership skills as the in-game leader and later transitioned into a star rifler role.
Now, on Team Vitality, mezii faces the challenge of filling Magisk’s shoes, particularly in the anchor roles on the CT side.

This victory was especially significant as Complexity had previously lost their last five matches against Liquid.
Jonathan “?EliGE?” Jablonowski, reflecting on the win, pointed out that confidence was the key factor that had been holding Complexity back in their previous encounters.
This resounding victory helped boost their morale and solidify their winning mindset.
Liquid, on the other hand, had to fight tooth and nail to reach this stage, requiring three maps to overcome Forsaken and Party Astronauts.

In the European Fall Showdown final, Cloud9 secured their place at the Fall Final with a 2-0 victory over BIG, recording wins on both Ancient (16-13) and Anubis (16-12).
Cloud9 had been struggling to find success in recent tournaments, prompting a change in leadership with Abay “HObbit” Khassenov taking on the role of in-game leader.
This adjustment seemed to be paying off as they overcame BIG, who had been on an upward trajectory with wins against strong opponents.
On the first map, BIG started strongly on the T side, but Cloud9 made a comeback from 3-7 down and clinched the map 16-13.
On Cloud9’s pick, Anubis, they managed to secure a narrow 8-7 win despite initially struggling to hold the A bomb site.
BIG had a strong start on the CT side, but Cloud9’s aggressive approach and impressive individual performances allowed them to secure a 16-12 victory and close out the series.
Both Complexity and Cloud9 will take their place in the Fall Final in Copenhagen, with the US$425,000 event kicking off on November 22.

The BLAST Premier Fall Final finished third, with the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games (BBC Sport) and FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021 (beIN MEDIA GROUP) filling the top two places.
