]]>The 18-year-old CS:GO esports player started off his career in 2014, when he joined dizLown. In the years that followed he played for four other teams – nevermind, E-Corp Bumpers, WySix Team and against All authority – until October of 2018, when he joined Team Vitality.

During his time with E-Corp Bumpers and against All authority, ZywOo won two minors (Pasino Gaming Days by LanEx and ESL Championnat National – Summer 2018), but it was not until he joined Vitality that he started winning some of the bigger tournaments. In fact, the win at DreamHack Open Atlanta 2018 came barely a month after he joined.
Strong performances in big events all over the world earned ZywOo and Vitality a ticket into the elite field of six teams at cs_summit 4. They topped the group stage in Los Angeles and defeated ENCE in the semi-finals to set up a title match with Team Liquid. Although the North Americans came into the tournament as heavy favourites, it was Vitality who emerged with a 2-0 win and $64,000 cash.
The player who carried most of the workload for the French team was ZywOo. He ended the tournament with an average rating of 1.33, which included an impressive 1.00+ rating in 14 out of the 15 maps Vitality played.
ZywOo shone brightest where it mattered the most: against ENCE in the semi-finals and against Team Liquid in the grand finals. On both occasions, he was by far the highest-rated player, surpassing all his teammates and opponents with a 1.38 HLTV rating in semis and a 1.44 HLTV rating in the grand finals.
But it was not only the overall ratings where ZywOo stood out, as he also topped the charts for most damage dealt (86.6 ADR), opening kills (0.15/round) and best fragging ability (0.86 KPR) en route to his first-ever MVP award.
The next for Vitality and their young star is DreamHack Masters Dallas 2019, which starts this week.

]]>Featuring six of the world’s best CS: GO esports teams and a $150,000 prize pool, the tournament promised to be an exciting one to watch and it managed to live up to expectations.
The group stage ended as expected, with Ghost Gaming and Renegades in the bottom two places. Ghost are simply not of the same level as the other teams that participated in cs_summit 4 and Renegades had to play with a stand-in, which greatly hindered their performance.

On the other side, Team Vitality finished the group in first place with a 3-2-0 record and 24 points – six points above Team Liquid, who entered the tournament as favourites. Still, the French team had it all to do.
The semi-finals featured Team Vitality vs ENCE and Team Liquid vs NRG Sports. Liquid managed to defeat NRG 2-0, while the match between Vitality and ENCE proved to be closer than expected. Vitality lost the first map 14-16 but managed to get back up with a convincing 16-8 result on Overpass and a close yet impressive 19-15 win in the deciding map, Inferno.
That left us with the two finalists: Team Liquid, who we all expected to see in the grand finals; and Team Vitality, who had an impressive run behind them and the hardest task right in front of them.
The grand finals began on Nuke, which was the map where Vitality celebrated a convincing 16-3 win against Team Liquid in the group stage. While we did not expect to see a repeat, the start of the map surely caused TL some flashbacks to day two of the tournament.
It did not take long for Vitality to get a 5-1 lead, which soon turned into a 15-4 advantage. Trailing by 11 points, Liquid managed to hold on for five more rounds, but in the end it was Team Vitality who secured a 16-9 win.
The second map was Overpass, which looked far better from Team Liquid’s perspective. The NA team started well and got out to a 3-0 lead, but they once again crumbled under pressure and let Vitality run away with it. Before the home side realised what was happening, it was already half-time and they were 11-4 down.
The second half saw Liquid rising and slowly catching up to Vitality, but it was too late and too little. Team Vitality finished the series with a 16-13 victory and their fourth map win against Team Liquid for the tournament.
The cs_summit 4 MVP award went to Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut, who came out of the finals with an impressive 1.44 HLTV rating.

]]>Renegades will take on NRG in two separate BO1 matches at cs_summit 4 in Los Angeles this Friday, with the first map scheduled to kick off around 4pm local time.

The big news is that Renegades are coming into the match with a stand-in, as Sean “Gratisfaction” Kaiwai is currently unavailable due to visa issues. He will be replaced by a UK player, Owen “smooya” Butterfield, who is currently without a team although he still has a contract with BIG.

Renegades disappointed in their recent run at IEM Sydney 2019. They barely managed to win one match, which was against the Korean side MVP PK in a 16-13 BO1 on Inferno. They lost both their remaining matches 2-0 against Ninjas in Pyjamas and mousesports, which saw them finish the tournament in 11th place.
Renegades played six matches in their ESL Pro League Season 9 Americas campaign, beating INTZ, NRG, compLexity and Isurus but losing to MIBR and eUnited. They finished in seventh place, thus failing to qualify for the Season 9 Finals.
Their opponents, NRG, finished top of the ESL Pro League table to book a spot at Montpellier next month. They only played three maps, defeating INTZ and eUnited but losing to Renegades. Nonetheless, they did enough to win their group and claim first place in the overall standings.
Renegades vs NRG H2H record
These two teams have contested 10 maps over five previous matches, of which NRG have won four, but it was Renegades who triumphed when these two met in the ESL Pro League last month.
Looking at that match, Renegades started the series with a 16-12 win on Mirage but failed to do the same next up on Train. That one could have gone either way, but in the end it was NRG who won 16-14. The third map was a complete stomp by Renegades, as NRG barely managed to win three rounds on Inferno.
Owen “smooya” Butterfield was arguably the star of the final match with an amazing 1.77 HLTV rating over the 19 rounds. He was also the most valuable player of the entire series, boasting an amazing 1.27 HLTV rating across all three maps.
Renegades vs NRG betting predictions
The odds are pretty balanced, with Renegades favoured to win the first map and NRG pegged to win the second. Those prices are fair, as the teams are near-identical in terms of skill and team play. With that in mind, both sides should be able to win at least one map.

]]>Ghost Gaming will take on Team Liquid in the opening match of cs_summit 4 this Thursday at Summit House in Los Angeles.
The fixture will be separated into two BO1 scrims. The first match will be played on a map of Ghost’s choosing, while the second map will be whichever Team Liquid choose.
Team Liquid are coming into the match as IEM Sydney 2019 champions, which was the first ‘big’ tournament for them. They won all their matches and did not lose a single map up until the finals, where they saluted with a 3-2 victory over Fnatic.
Liquid also ranked second in ECS Season 7 North America Week 4. They won two BO3 matches against Spacestation and Luminosity but came up short in the finals against MIBR, who bested them 2-0. Things may have turned out differently if the second match was not on Vertigo, which is a map where Team Liquid tend to underperform.

Their opponents, Ghost Gaming, have made only one roster change in 2019 so far. They released Yassine “Subroza” Taoufik from their starting roster and added Ryan “freakazoid” Abadir, who came over from Swole Patrol.

Ghost are coming into the match off a disappointing DreamHack Open Tours 2019 campaign, where they lost both matches, first 16-11 to AVANAGAR and then 2-0 to the home side, G2 Esports. They also played at the ESL One Cologne 2019 North America Closed Qualifier, where they managed to reach the playoffs but were eventually defeated 3-2 by FURIA in a BO5 final.
As for their ESL Pro League Season 9 Americas campaign, Ghost placed second in Group B after the first round. They won against compLexity and Lazarus but lost to Team Liquid. Nonetheless, their performances were good enough to earn them second spot and a ticket for the second round.

These two teams have played a total of five maps in the span of four matches, which were all won by Team Liquid. The last time they faced each other was in this year’s ESL Pro League, where Liquid won 2-0 in a BO3 match.
We have to side with Team Liquid. They are a far better team with much more experience and stronger players. There is simply no area Ghost could compete, so a clean sweep looks likely.

]]>Beyond the Summit revealed the details of the tournament this week, confirming that only six teams will take part, instead of the eight we have seen in the last three years.
The best CS: GO teams in the world will battle it out for their slice of the $150,000 prize pool, a figure that remains unchanged since the tournament was first established.
The favourites for the event include Team Liquid and the recently-improved ENCE.
In addition to Team Liquid and ENCE, we will get a chance to see Ghost Gaming, NRG Esports, Renegades and Team Vitality, who will join the fight.
All the spotlight is on Team Liquid, who have won the CS_Summit 2, and ENCE, who are considered to be among the best in the world, but we cannot look past NRG Esports, who have won the previous tournament (CS_Summit 3).
The format of the tournament is yet to be announced, however, due to fewer number of teams, we can expect it to be modified in comparison to the previous CS_Summit tournaments, which were played in a BO3, double-elimination brackets.

While all eyes are set on Team Liquid to justify their number two rank in the world, it will be NRG, who will look to make it two in a row after winning the CS_Summit 3 back in November. However, we must take into consideration NRG had it easier last time out, as they did not have to face off against Liquid or ENCE, who could prove to be a real threat on the road to 2nd title in a row.
