Nouns replaced two players in December when the team added Luke “Yamsun” Wang and Rodrigo “LESL?O” Santos. With the two signings, nouns seem stronger, but the roster still has to prove that it can work together without a coach.

Their next opponents, ALPHA, are coming in from the lower division with two new players, Nicolás “wij” Moreno and Junior “Yadomi” Rimari from SG esports and Gorillaz-Pride, respectively. ALPHA don’t look exceptionally good, but they have enough talent for us to believe that they won’t struggle, and it wouldn’t be too shocking to see them compete for a top-four finish.

Nouns should do better this season, but ALPHA are a bit underrated at the offered Dota 2 esports betting odds. We like the underdogs with a map advantage at even odds or better.

After Soniqs released its roster, its slot was transferred to Thiuth Gaming, a team that fields a couple of unknown and unproven players who teamed up with Timur “layme” Magomedov, Jose “esK” Coronel, and Anton “antoha” Marchenko.

EsK is the only player on this roster known in the scene, having spent nearly one year competing with Wildcard Gaming, with whom he placed fourth in DPC NA 2021/2022 Tour 2: Division I last season. But even though Thiuth have some solid pieces, it’s tough to say how the team will do, and it doesn’t help that they’re set to face one of NA’s top Dota 2 esports teams.

TSM underwent a surprising number of changes following a 19th-20th-place exit from TI 2022. The team brought in three new players Ilyas “kasane” Gainullin, Matthew “Ari” Walker, and Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon, despite having a fantastic season overall.

On paper, TSM looks significantly stronger than Thiuth Gaming, but with so many new faces on the roster, it’s fair to question how easy it will be for TSM to adjust and show their full potential. We can imagine TSM struggling initially, so we’re taking over 2.5 maps at a very generous $3.00 with online betting sites.

?Team Undying haven’t been too impressive since the start of the new year, and they seem like they’ve lost their identity. Most notably, they have struggled to play from behind, which was once their strongest trait.

Due to their recent slump, Undying enter this match following back-to-back losses against Quincy Crew (1-2) and Evil Geniuses (0-2), where their inability to compete from behind was most noticeable. But despite their slip-ups, it’s hard to side against Undying for this match.

Arkosh Gaming are one of the weaker Dota 2 esports teams in this division, with a 1-5 record and an abysmal 2-11 map difference. Their only win so far came against Black N Yellow back in December, but Arkosh have since lost to simply TOOBASED (0-2) and 4 Zoomers (0-2) – both significantly weaker teams than Undying.

Team Undying need to win to lock in a top-three finish, and we expect them to put on a show in their final match of the opening DPC tour.

The esports betting sites have priced Evil Geniuses as -208.33 favourites to defeat Quincy Crew, which might not seem right based on the teams’ placement. Still, Evil Geniuses have been playing exceptionally well with Arif “MSS” Anwar as a replacement for Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko and enter this match off back-to-back wins against Simply TOOBASED (2-1), 4Zoomers (2-0), and Team Undying (2-0).

Quincy Crew have yet to drop a series, but they looked a bit shaky in their 2-1 win against Undying on January 8, and we weren’t too impressed with their showing last week against Black N Yellow (2-1) either. In their defence, QC got out-drafted in map one and looked much better for the remainder of the series.

You can’t deny that EG have been playing much better since the start of a new year, but we don’t feel like they deserve to be priced so low. Quincy Crew are still undefeated, and their slump against BNY does not change that this is still a solid team. Expect a close affair that can go the distance.

?Simply TOOBASED downgraded its Dota 2 esports roster heading into the 2021/22 season, and it shows, seeing how they have lost both of their DPC matches against Quincy Crew (1-2) and Undying (0-2). However, perhaps it’s not fair to criticise them too much, considering Simply TOOBASED had a very rough schedule, but things won’t get much easier for them on Wednesday.

4 Zoomers were one of the top teams in North America last season, but they weren’t quite one of the best. Despite showing a lot of promise, 4Z struggled to defeat the likes of Evil Geniuses, Undying, and Quincy Crew, who already handed them a defeat (1-2) in the final match of the first round.

Simply TOOBASED shouldn’t be winning this match, but the kill line of 16.5 seems a bit high. The outsiders played relatively well against Undying (23-35, 16-31) last round, and if they can show the same fight here, they should be able to keep 4 Zoomers within 16 kills with ease.

?Arkosh Gaming have yet to show anything inspiring, and it’s becoming clear that they might not be up to par with where they were last season. They had some moments against Evil Geniuses at the start of the month but have since lost against Wildcard Gaming and Quincy Crew.

The departure of their mid laner, Muhammad Saad Ali “high_shaggy” Ghaznavi, has left a huge void that Arkosh cannot fill. And it doesn’t help that some of their players are playing from the European servers, meaning they are playing with high ping.

Black N Yellow have managed only one victory from the first three games of the season; however, their only win came against Evil Geniuses, which is a respectable achievement. Despite what their record might suggest, BNY are playing solid Dota and are clearly a class above the bottom teams, including Arkosh.

Arkosh Gaming are prime candidates to finish the season without a win, and until we see some improvement, there is no reason to believe they can put up any meaningful fight on Wednesday.
