The post Gambit Esports release their Apex Legends roster appeared first on Esport Bet.
]]>The European organization made the revelation via their official Twitter page. While they thanked the players and said that they are now free agents, they also revealed that they would continue to play together.
“Today we bid farewell to #GambitApex. Players enter free agency but will continue competing together. Over the past three years our squad proved to be one of the best in Europe and the world. Thank you for everything and good luck Artyco11, leogri3x6 & hxrdecki.”
Gambit undoubtedly had one of the best teams in Europe and the world. While there is a lot of potential there, participation in major tournaments might be difficult as most games do not allow players representing Russian organizations to compete.
Hence, the decision to release the roster and give them a chance at furthering their career without restrictions. With this news, Gambit, who once had active rosters in Fortnite and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, are left with only their Valorant team.
The Apex team was put together in 2020. The three-man squad led the organization to several successful campaigns in their time together under the Gambit banner.
Konstantin Hardecki Kozlov joined the team in May 2020, and this represents his longest run with a single team. The 19-year-old has played for five other teams before Gambit, with none lasting for more than three months.
In November 2019, Leonid Leogri3x6 Grishin joined Gambit from ROFLANQ. Although all team members joined in 2019, leogri3x6 was the newest member of the team.
Artur Artyco Tishchenko, the Ukrainian on the team, played for only the Fire Beavers before joining Gambit.
In light of their release, Hardecki took to Twitter to call for consideration from other Apex organizations. He stated that they are looking to compete for the team at the ALGS Championship and future events.
“ex-Gambit(Players) is looking for a new org to represent on Championship and future Apex Legends Esports tournaments.”
It has been a rough ride for the players since Russia invaded Ukraine. The team had to compete as “Players” in the AL Global Series Split 2 Pro League, with two of their players also having to move to Turkey.
Despite the disruptions, they managed a second-place finish out of 39 participants and sealed their Split 2 playoffs berth.
Unfortunately, the setbacks were too much, resulting in the team finishing 23rd in the LAN event in Stockholm. They had to substitute for Artyco, who was unable to leave Ukraine due to the country’s refusal to allow adult males to leave.
That will also affect the team, who is due to compete at the ALGS 2022 Championship. They sealed their spot in the tournament after accumulating enough playoff points and will be one of 40 teams fighting for a larger piece of the $2 million prize pool.
Players might yet again have to find a replacement for Artyco for the Championship scheduled to take place at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, USA. The tournament will start on July 7 and run through to July 10.

]]>“Today we bid farewell to #GambitDota2. The team will continue competing together under One Move tag. Together with us they earned two second place finishes at #D2CL and qualified for the first division of #DPCEEU. Thank you and good luck in future endeavors!”
Earlier in the month, AS Monaco Gambit parted ways with their Dota 2 roster. On this occasion, they were automatically released into free agency as there was no room for operating under a new umbrella.
“Today we bid farewell to #ASMGMB #GambitDota2. Teams players and coach enter free agency. We would like to thank them for representing our organization and wish them luck in future endeavors,” Gambit said on Twitter at the time.
“Former ASM.GMB Dota 2 line-up: alberkaaa, Lorenof, meLes, Immersion, HappyDyurara, Chappie.”
While Gambit have released the roster led by Vasilii “AfterLife” Shishkin, they will remain competitive but under a new tag – One Move.
The entire former Gambit team was brought together in November 2021, and through a first-place finish in the Eastern Europe Tour 2 Division II, they have secured a Division I spot for the upcoming tour.
One Move had an incredible run in the Division II playoffs. Throughout the competition, they lost only one map to Rune Eaters in the upper-bracket quarterfinals.
In the semifinals, they swept Cybercats in the best-of-three series and finished the event with a 2-0 sweep against HYDRA in the upper-bracket final.
Rune, who lost to Gambit in the upper-bracket quarterfinals, went on a tear after getting relegated to the lower bracket. They swept every team they faced – including Wayfarers, Team Empire, Cybercats, and HYDRA – to also seal a Division I berth.
AfterLife thanked Gambit for putting the team together and expressed their commitment to continue the good work despite being under a different banner.
“A new stage in the history of the team begins. Our sincere thanks for the support from Gambit Esports, who believed in our team all along and made the team happen,” he said.
“We have done a lot of work since last October and we dont plan to quit halfway through. All of the players and coaching staff will continue to work together. A pool of team partners is being formed now, which we will announce as soon as everything is ready.”
The date for the commencement of the final DPC tour is yet to be announced. However, there is a chance they will start in June for teams to have enough time to compete before the start of the PGL Arlington Major scheduled to begin on August 4.
If One Move miraculously pulls off a top-three finish to feature in the Arlington Major and eventually wins the Major, they will have at least 820 DPC points.
Although they are currently ranked 38th with zero points, a first-place finish in the remaining two events could guarantee them a top-twelve finish in the global rankings. With that, they could participate in The International 2022.
The LAN event will be held in Singapore in October, with an initial prize pool of US$1.6 million. In the 2021 edition, the final total prize pool was over $40 million and Team Spirit, the winners, walked away with $18.2 million.
Despite leaving the Dota 2 scene, Gambit still have active rosters in Apex Legends and Valorant. Since the start of April, they have also parted ways with their Fortnite and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive rosters.

HYDRA locked in their fourth division win last Thursday when they edged past Fantastic Five with a hard-fought 2-1 victory. A day later, Gambit Esports took on CIS Rejects but proved far less successful in their attempts, lost 1-2, and dropped down to the sixth spot in the standings, with a 2-3 record.
Gambit Esports have found themselves in a rough spot, dropping three consecutive games against Fantastic Five, Winstrike Team, and CIS Rejects. But despite their slip-ups, Gambit Esports enter this bout as $1.76 favourites.
There isn’t much to suggest that Gambit Esports deserve this tag, and even though they stole a map from CIS Rejects last week, this is still the same team that lost against Fantastic Five a month ago. Still, Gambit have solid performance metrics, including the league’s second-highest Experience Per Minute (2843 XPM) and third-highest KDA (3.64).
At the offered Dota 2 betting odds, HYDRA are a better pick, but we wouldn’t underestimate Gambit. Over 2.5 maps is a safer option at solid odds.

Winstrike Team will clash with CIS Rejects in a match neither team can afford to lose. Winstrike sit in fourth place with a 3-2 record and are just one win short of catching up to CIS Rejects, who lead the division with a 4-1 record and 9-3 map difference.
The esports betting sites. have priced CIS Rejects as the favourites, which is hard to argue with, but Winstrike can cause an upset. They’re in excellent form, with some of the league’s highest performance metrics, including the third-highest Experience Per Minute (2825 XPM) and Gold Per Minute (2371 GPM) and the league’s best KDA (4.75).
At $2.98, Winstrike Team are highly underrated and present an excellent value bet.

?This is a match that many expect to end with a clean victory from Gambit Esports, but we have our reasons to doubt that. Even though Gambit are stronger and much more successful than Team Fiend, the underdogs have a legitimate chance to cause some damage.
Looking at the map records, the bout will likely play out on either Inferno or Mirage, where both sides perform well. The second thing that works in Fiend’s favour is that Gambit usually do well against top teams because they are very good at analysing their opponents’ demos C of which Team Fiend have very few.
Last, but not least, this is an online best-of-one (Bo1) match, which are notorious for upset wins. While we don’t think Fiend will win, the +6.5 rounds handicap at -108.7 is just too good to pass on.

Spirit are arguably the more consistent team, but on a good day G2 can be stronger. The question is whether it’s worth risking our money on G2 and hoping they show up on Thursday.
Since this is a Bo1 bout, the answer is yes. The general rule of thumb in Bo1 series is to take the better odds if the underdogs have a chance to win, and with the quality of players G2 possess, they can definitely come away with a win.

Natus Vincere tend to underperform in tournament openers, so backing mousesports would appear to make sense. That said, we don’t believe mouz are good enough to upset the Ukrainian side.
Mouz might have the occasional flash of greatness, but they aren’t playing well. That is mainly because they lack a proper in-game leader, which they lost with the departure of Finn “karrigan” Andersen to FaZe Clan in February.
NaVi are not a perfect team either. Their inability to execute strategies points to IGL problems, so in that aspect, these sides are similar. Regardless, NaVi still boast better players, which should tip the scale in their favour. Mouz shouldn’t win more than 12 rounds.

?FaZe Clans roster is arguably good enough to compete for a Major Championship title, but from the looks of it, they have yet to find the needed synergy to take the step up in class. FaZe have won only 37.5% of their matches since January and have shown only marginal progress since signing karrigan.
Virtus.pro are 4-6 in their last five and have lost all of their last three fixtures, going down to Complexity (1-2), forZe (0-2), and HAVU (1-2). We have talked about this team overperforming at IEM Katowice, and those results suggest we might be right.
On paper, Virtus.pro seem like the stronger team, but that doesn’t explain the short odds. The value is with FaZe Clan.

?It’s difficult to make a case for Extra Salt here, and not least because Team Spirit have been playing extremely well for the past month. Extra Salt are essentially the former Cloud9 core plus Edgar “MarKE” Maldonado, formerly of Chaos Esports Club.
Extra Salt enter this match with a 30-3 record since late January, which should catch anyone’s attention, but most of their wins have come against weaker sides at ESEA events and the DreamHack Open. On the other side, Team Spirit are 13-3 since late January, and that record includes wins against some of the best European sides.
Extra Salt field capable players who were relatively successful while playing under Cloud9, but it’s been a while since they last faced a top-20 team, let alone the no.7 side in the world. Team Spirit are just too good at the moment, so we are backing them to cover the map line.

?Going from one mismatch to another, we have NASR Esports taking on Gambit Esports in the second fixture of the day. A quick look at the odds reveals just how one-sided this match should be, with esports bookmakers giving NASR only a 6% chance to defeat the reigning IEM Katowice champions.
The betting odds don’t surprise us, considering NASR are a UAE squad featuring four unknown players and former Budapest Five in-game leader Atif “gejmzilla” Mustafa as their captain. Whats more, NASR have yet to face a top-tier team since World Electronic Sports Games 2018, where they fielded a completely different squad.
Betting on Gambit to win 2-0 at -625 offers no value, but we are happy to take a shot with NASR at the +1.5 map handicap. This is a complete long shot, but the odds make it worth a stab for two reasons.
Firstly, Gambit might not take this match too seriously and could be overconfident, which could turn around and bite them. Secondly, NASR are an unknown opponent for Gambit, whereas the underdogs have more than enough film to analyse and figure out how to play this one. Whether that will be enough remains to be seen, but at +381, we are ready to pull the trigger on NASR getting on the board.

?Once a Classico of the LATAM CS:GO scene, this fixture is now regarded as more of a warm-up match for FURIA. The latest CS:GO betting odds don’t seem too wrong at first, but we have to consider that this is still a match between two local rivals who know each other well.
Its no secret FURIA overtook MiBR as the best Brazilian CS:GO team last year, but we are reluctant to believe Andrei “arT” Piovezan and his crew will walk away with a clean sweep. That is despite their 2-0 win against MiBR at ESL Pro League Season 13 last month.
These Brazilian derbies can be quite volatile, which is a good enough reason for us to believe MiBR can make something happen. The outsiders have a better win rate on Dust II, Mirage and Overpass, and as long as Raphael “exit” Lacerda can continue playing as well as he has for the past month, MiBR should be able to make FURIA sweat.

?Heroic impressed with their group-stage performances last month when they put together a perfect 5-0 record and a +38 round differential. That run includes sweeps of Renegades and FunPlus Phoenix, as well as 2-1 victories against BIG, OG, and Complexity.
Ninjas in Pyjamas were just as good with wins against ENCE, FaZe Clan, mousesports and Team Vitality. Those results would suggest NiP are a very strong team, but we have to consider that FaZe, mousesports and Vitality are not playing that well at the moment.
NiP enter this match off a 1-2 loss against HAVU in the Pinnacle Cup, which leads us to believe that they might not be a very consistent team. Heroic have been playing much cleaner Counter-Strike for the past month and are on a seven-game winning streak, which makes it hard to side against them. NiP might win one map, but they don’t seem ready to take down the Danes just yet.

?If we were predicting the outcome of this match a couple of months back, it would be very easy to bet on Astralis and call it a day. But while Astralis are still one of the strongest teams in the world, the Danes have not looked very good this tournament.
Gambit Esports are a completely different story. The Russians came out of nowhere to win IEM Katowice and have not shown any signs of slowing down. A low-effort showing against Copenhagen Flames (1-2) at Snow Sweet Snow #2 is the only blip on the radar in recent times as Gambit enter this match on an eight-game winning streak.
While Astralis are the stronger side, it’s Gambit who are in better form. This should be a close match, which is why we have to take the slight outsiders at higher odds.

?As talked about in our ESL Pro League Season 13 betting preview for Friday, online bookmakers seem to be putting too much emphasis on Gambit Esports’ run at IEM Katowice. That is not to say theyre weaker than Cloud9, but we don’t believe Gambit’s implied probability to win should be at 78.1% or even close to that number.
We are not trying to discredit Gambit and their success last month, but they werent obviously stronger than the rest of the field; they just played better in key moments and were a bit lucky in some of their wins. So the question here is whether Gambit can keep their wheels spinning and do some damage in the ESL Pro League as well, or whether their IEM Katowice run was nothing more than the organisations second fluke run following the PGL Major: Krakow 2017.
Had Gambit not won IEM Katowice, they wouldnt be priced as low as they are against Cloud9. Although we aren’t too optimistic about C9 and their chances of making a deep run this tournament, they have the tools to compete with Gambit and win at least one map.

?Natus Vincere and FURIA last met just over a month ago during the IEM Katowice group stage, where NaVi won 2-0 with 16-13 on Mirage and 16-8 on Nuke. Although an impressive result, it’s important to note that NaVi won solely due to the performances of Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev, who ended the series with a 1.79 rating and 60/28 KD.
Having a player that can win you games on his own is great, but it also works as a double-edged sword, since NaVi usually struggle when s1mple isn’t playing well. This is also the main reason why we don’t like betting on NaVi when they’re heavy favourites, especially so early into a tournament.
The only two bets that make sense here are FURIA or NaVi to cover the map handicap, and it’s not difficult to figure out which of the two is most likely to happen. FURIA have had their fair share of struggles of late, but they have proven themselves with wins against Ninjas in Pyjamas and FaZe Clan, and by playing a close series with IEM Katowice finalists Virtus.pro.

?Gambit Esports are the reigning IEM Katowice champions, so it is no surprise to see them priced as favourites against a squad that hadn’t competed in any major international tournaments before joining MiBR. But while it is easy to be blinded by Gambit’s recent success, we have to consider that they won that title almost a month back and have since played only one match against Copenhagen Flames, which they lost 1-2.
Although that one loss doesn’t overshadow Gambit’s achievement, it still suggests the Russians are either tired or ring rusty. Whichever it is, they could be vulnerable to dropping games against weaker sides. And it’s not even like MiBR are a weak team, as they showed in February when they beat Fnatic and stole maps off Heroic, Natus Vincere and Cloud9.
MiBR should lose this match more often than not, but they have played well enough of late for us to trust them at the map line.

?Natus Vincere are undeniably the stronger team here, but the Ukrainians tend to underperform in the tournament openers. It is unclear why that’s the case, but NaVi usually need a few games to warm up.
Cloud9 are a much weaker team than NaVi, and their recent losses against VOYVODA (1-2) and Winstrike (1-2) make it hard to argue they are in a position to win this bout. However, they can have their moments of greatness, and it’s not like they lack individual quality.
Although we are hesitant about betting on Cloud9 in their current state, that is still a better option than siding with NaVi for the opening game of the group. C9 should win one map, but we don’t expect much more than that.

?In an online tournament, it is often smart to look for a bet on the underdogs. That said, we cannot find a single reason to side with Team One, who have been playing extremely poorly during their stay in Europe.
Team One enter this match with a 2-6 record since the start of March, with their only wins coming against Movistar Riders (2-0) and Lyngby Vikings (2-0). While those victories are decent enough for a team of this calibre, those squads are nowhere near as strong as FURIA.
FURIA might have disappointed a bit at IEM Katowice, where they finished in seventh-eighth place, but this is still one of the top 12 CS:GO esports teams in the world. The quality gap here is far too big for us to consider taking the underdogs, and that’s all the explanation we need to give.

?It’s quite remarkable how far Gambit Esports have come, although it’s not like they were ever a weak team; they were simply flying under the radar by not attending any top-tier events. Gambit have already proved their worth by beating the likes of mousesports (2-0), Heroic (2-1) and G2 Esports (2-0), but they will need to show a bit more on Friday when they face Natus Vincere.
NaVi came extremely close to securing direct passage to the semi-finals, but they fell flat against Team Liquid (1-2) in their final match of the group stage. It was not a good performance from the Ukrainian side, but it’s hard to criticise them for an overtime loss against the no.5 team in the world.
NaVi and Gambit last met in October 2020, when NaVi won with 12-16 and 11-16. Gambit should do better this time and will likely steal one map, but we have a hard time believing they will walk away with more than that. A lot has changed since then, as Astralis are no longer the powerhouse they were in 2019. The Danes fell to Team Spirit (1-2) in their final group match last week, which is concerning when they are set to face a team that swept the likes of Ninjas in Pyjamas, FURIA Esports and Team Vitality en route to the IEM Katowice playoffs.
