TOP ESPORTS vs JD GAMING SPRING SPLIT GRAND FINALS BETTING PREVIEW

JD Gaming and Top Esports will duke it out for the League of Legends Pro League (LPL) title this weekend when they clash in the LPL 2020 Spring Split finals.

Whatever happens on Saturday, this is Top Esports’ best placement since joining the LPL in 2018. Their previous high mark was achieved last summer when they clinched a bronze medal, although they failed to book a ticket for the LoL World Championship after they lost to Invictus Gaming (2-3) in the LPL Regional Finals. That triggered some offseason roster changes, with Hung “Karsa” Hao-Hsuan and Ying “Photic” Qi-Shen taking over for the departed Xiong “Xx” Yu-Long and Lee “LokeN” Dong-wook.

With a legendary jungler and a promising ADC on their squad, Top Esports entered the 2020 season as the team to watch. While they had their fair share of iffy showings in the first half of the split, Karsa and co. shifted into a higher gear and finished the regular season with an impressive 8-2 run.

The biggest roster change of the year came at the start of April when Top Esports acquired Yu “JackeyLove” Wen-Bo, who left Invictus Gaming last year. Top haven’t lost a single match since the 2018 world champion made his club debut on April 13, while they have lost only two maps in those five outings – one against Team WE (3-1) in the quarter-finals and another against Invictus Gaming (3-1) in the semis.

Although JD Gaming ended the LPL 2019 Summer Split in 10th place, they decided to keep their core more or less intact for the 2020 campaign. Their only roster change came in the arrival of ADC LokeN from Top Esports, while Seo “Kanavi” Jin-hyeok signed a permanent contract after spending the last split on loan from Griffin. The gamble on Kanavi has paid big dividends already, as the Korean jungler bounced back from an indifferent 2019 campaign to claim the Most Valuable Player award for the LPL 2020 Spring Split.

With a freshened-up roster, JD Gaming climbed the LPL ladder at a rapid pace and finished the Spring Split as runners-up with a 12-4 record and 72% game win rate. They carried that momentum into the playoffs, where they disposed of the reigning world champions, FunPlus Phoenix, in straight sets to reach their maiden LPL finals series.

It’s worth noting that JD Gaming’s star top laner, Zhang “Zoom” Xing-Ran, returned from quarantine at the start of April, which is a massive positive for this team. At the time of writing, Zoom is the only LPL player who holds a perfect 100% win rate over 10+ games played.

TOP ESPORTS vs JD GAMING SPRING SPLIT BETTING PREDICTIONS

Top Esports defeated JD Gaming back in March, but that result means little when comparing these two sides. With JackeyLove joining Top and Zoom returning for JD since then, both teams are different beasts.

Zoom is arguably the best top laner in the LPL. However, with Karsa watching him from the jungle, it’s difficult to say whether the JD star will be allowed to play at his own pace.

Things are tricker still for JD in the bottom lane. LokeN is by no means a bad player, but JackeyLove is still the best ADC in the world when he gets his wheels spinning. If everything goes to script, Top should have the advantage at the lower end of the map.

The mid lane will see Zeng “YaGao” Qi take on Zhuo “knight” Ding. While we can respect YaGao and what he has shown this split, knight was the more impressive player in the semi-finals. That is another benefit of JackeyLove’s arrival, as his leadership and shot-calling have enabled knight and Karsa to play at the highest level.

If both sides play to their peak, this match will go down to the wire. Esports bookmakers are giving JD the edge, which makes Top Esports an attractive proposition as outsiders.

FUNPLUS PHOENIX vs TOP ESPORTS SPRING SPLIT BETTING PREVIEW

The regular season of the League of Legends Pro League (LPL) 2020 Spring Split will come to a close on Monday when the playoffs-bound Top Esports take on the reigning world champions, FunPlus Phoenix.

Top Esports enter their final fixture of the split with a guaranteed ticket to the quarter-finals in arm’s reach. Their 10-5 record puts them one win short of eStar, who finished their campaign on Thursday with a shock loss against Luo “BSYY” Sheng’s crew.

Few would have backed Top Esports to reach the playoffs after their slow start to the season. However, the outlook has become much brighter since Week 4, when Hung “Karsa” Hao-Hsuan and co. relit the fire with crucial wins against JD Gaming, Oh My God and Domunis Esports.

Top Esports used that momentum to go on a 7-2 run through the next four weeks, which helped them secure a playoffs berth for the second consecutive split. Now they have only one more hurdle to jump over to secure a top-four seeding, but their last test of the regular season will also prove to be the toughest.

Many were surprised to see FunPlus Phoenix drop their opening two fixtures against Invictus Gaming (1-2) and eStar (1-2), but perhaps Kim “Doinb” Tae-sang and co. were a bit rusty since they decided to skip Demacia Cup. Once the reigning world champions warmed up, they asserted their dominance with nine consecutive wins while dropping only three maps.

That run came to an end in Week 6, when they dropped the ball against ViCi Gaming (1-2). In their three matches since, FPX picked up a close-fought 2-1 win over EDward Gaming, stomped LGD Gaming 2-0, and did just enough to secure a 2-1 win over Rogue Warriors.

With a 12-3 record next to their name, FunPlus Phoenix are now only one win short of catching Invictus Gaming at the top of the leaderboard. FPX cannot claim first place, however, as the leaders have a superior head-to-head record.

Even so, FunPlus Phoenix cannot afford to underperform in their final fixture. As JD Gaming also have 12 wins and hold a head-to-head advantage, a loss here could see FPX slip to third in the LPL Spring 2020 standings.

FUNPLUS PHOENIX vs TOP ESPORTS SPRING SPLIT BETTING PREDICTIONS

Like a few other teams at the top end of the table, FunPlus Phoenix have suffered a slight dip in form throughout the latter stages of the split. While it’s hard to argue against the raw quality FPX bring to the table, it’s also difficult to be overly optimistic about a team that recently dropped a map against Rogue Warriors.

Meanwhile, Top Esports seem to be on the rise. It would be fair to say much of their success in recent games is due to the arrival of superstar ADC Yu “JackeyLove” Wen-Bo, who is starting to find his old form. JackeyLove will play a pivotal role here in his matchup with Lin “Lwx” Wei-Xiang, who left a lot to be desired in FPX’s clash with RW.

It might be a bit much to expect Top Esports to win the series, but they can certainly take a map if they show the same fire as they did against eStar last week.

TOP ESPORTS vs ESTAR LPL SPRING SPLIT BETTING PREVIEW

Top Esports will lock horns with eStar for the first time this season in their third-to-last fixture of the League of Legends Pro League (LPL) 2020 Spring Split.

To say eStar have looked strong this season would be a massive understatement. Assembled almost entirely from LPL rookies, they have gone above and beyond everyone’s expectations by establishing themselves as one of the strongest teams in the LPL.

Having said that, eStar’s showings through the last two weeks were less than inspiring. After losses to ViCi Gaming (1-2), Royal Never Give Up (0-2) and JD Gaming (0-2), it remains to be seen how they will stack up against a new and improved Top Esports squad that now includes Yu “JackeyLove” Wen-Bo.

We finally got to see the 2018 world champion in action on Monday when he helped his new team to a comfortable 2-0 win over Victory Five. Although JackeyLove’s 2.73 KDA, 8.64 CSPM, 56.6% KPAR and 13.2% KS in that match are hardly groundbreaking numbers, it’s worth noting it was his first competitive fixture since the 2019 LoL World Championship last November.

Top’s 9-5 run is only an extension of their solid performances in the 2019 LPL Summer Split, where Luo “BSYY” Sheng’s squad pocketed silver in the regular season and bronze in the playoffs. The team have been playing well and their consistency against the weaker sides makes them strong contenders for a top-five finish.

The big question is whether Top Esports can match the stronger when it matters most. They have dropped the ball against the likes of Invictus, JD and RNG this season, so they will want to show lot more in their clash with eStar on Thursday and their closing fixture against FunPlus Phoenix next Monday.

TOP ESPORTS vs ESTAR LPL SPRING SPLIT BETTING PREDICTIONS

Top Esports might be the weaker side on paper, but they have a real chance to prove the doubters wrong here. JackeyLove is still dusting off the cobwebs and will only improve on Monday’s showing, while there is a suggestion that eStar’s young squad are feeling the pressure after three losses in five matches. Top can guarantee a playoff spot and send a message to the big guns with a win on Thursday.

TEAM WE vs TOP ESPORTS LPL SPRING SPLIT BETTING PREVIEW

Team WE and Top Esports are set to meet on the Summoner’s Rift this Wednesday during Week 6 of League of Legends Pro League (LPL) 2020 Spring Split.

Top Esports are a team on everyone’s mind due to their recent acquisition of the ex-Invictus Gaming star ADC Yu “JackeyLove” Wen-Bo, who joined the squad last Friday. TES were already in good shape, so this is a massive acquisition for the Chinese team.

After finishing third in last season’s LPL Summer Split and second at the LPL 2019 Regional Finals, Top Esports opted to sign jungler Hung “Karsa” Hao-Hsuan and Ying “Photic” Qi-Shen as replacements for Xiong “Xx” Yu-Long and Lee “LokeN” Dong-wook. Both have proved to be very solid additions.

Top Esports launched the 2020 LPL season with a perfect 2-0 week but came back to the pack with 0-2 and 1-1 returns in the following two rounds. They got on a roll from Week 4, however, producing a streak of four consecutive wins against Dominus Esports, JD Gaming, Oh My God and most recently Suning. Although not particularly strong opponents, Top Esports deserve all the praise they can get for their performances.

Due to their strong showings throughout the season, a playoffs berth was on the horizon for Top Esports even before the acquisition of JackeyLove. Now the question is not so much whether they make it to the top eight, but rather how far up they will climb.

Team WE will enter Week 6 of the LPL Spring Split with a 5-5 record to their name, which ties them with Oh My God in eighth spot. Unlike Top Esports, who have been surging in recent weeks, Team WE were consistently mediocre up until the last couple of rounds, when Jiang “beishang” Zhi-Peng and co. secured two solid wins over Rogue Warriors and Suning, only to lose two in a row against Bilibili Gaming and LGD Esports.

Despite their up and down season, Team WE are still in the playoffs race. But considering they recently lost to two of the weakest teams in the league, the outlook is not promising.

TEAM WE vs TOP ESPORTS LPL SPRING SPLIT BETTING PREDICTIONS

It is still unknown if JackeyLove will play this Wednesday, but Top Esports are the team to beat regardless. Esports bookmakers have them at shorts odds for the win and around evens to cover a -1.5 map line, which is a vey tempting option.

Top Esports have already produced several clean sweeps against weaker opponents, as they did in three out of their last four fixtures. Although we would normally not underestimate Team WE, it’s hard to trust them too much after their losses to Bilibili Gaming and LGD.

With JackeyLove or without, Top Esports should have this one in the bag. At +100 for a 2-0 win, we don’t need to think twice before picking out a prediction for this match.

OH MY GOD vs INVICTUS GAMING LPL SPRING SPLIT BETTING PREVIEW

Former world champions Invictus Gaming and high-flying underdogs Oh My God will clash this Tuesday on the second matchday in Week 5 of the League of Legends Pro League (LPL).

After a shaky display in the 2019 LPL Summer Split and a painful semi-final exodus at the 2019 LoL World Championship, Invictus Gaming have found their footing in 2020 by winning all but one of their eight fixtures so far this split.

Entering Week 5 of the LPL 2020 Spring Split with a 7-1 record, Invictus sit second in the league behind the young and talented eStar squad that handed Kang “TheShy” Seung-lok and co. their first and only loss of the season. Other than that, Invictus defeated FunPlus Phoenix, Dominus Esports, ViCi Gaming, Rogue Warriors, LGD Gaming, Top Esports and most recently Suning.

Invictus Gaming’s domestic dominance is down to the sheer individual quality of their players. That is not to say IG are a flawless team, as they can have their moments of inconsistency, but their player stats this season are world class.

With a 5-4 record, Oh My God sit seventh in the league standings, which makes them serious playoff contenders. While they might not be top-three material, OMG seem like they are capable of finishing the split at least among the top five.

OMG have defeated LNG Esports, Rogue Warriors, Bilibili Gaming, Dominus Esports and Victory 5 this season, while their losses have come against JD Gaming, Royal Never Give Up, FunPlus Phoenix and Top Esports.

It may be a bit too early to say Oh My God are serious contenders for the title, but they have started to show glimpses of how strong this Chinese esports organisation used to be. OMG were a dominant force in the early days of the LPL, winning the first-ever Spring Split in 2013 and finishing third-fourth at LoL Worlds in 2014.

OH MY GOD vs INVICTUS GAMING LPL SPRING SPLIT BETTING PREDICTIONS

Although this is not a match of high importance in terms of the top eight, there is something riding on it for both sides. If Invictus Gaming pull away with a win here, they would silence the doubters and solidify themselves as one of the top LPL teams. A win for OMG, on the other hand, would help them prove they are a serious threat for not only playoffs but also the LPL title.

Esports bookmakers have Invictus priced as heavy favourites, but it’s hard to agree with the inflated odds offered on Oh My God. While they have not produced anything remarkable this split and their 0-2 loss to Top Esports on Sunday is not exactly promising, OMG are a team that tend to perform better when facing stronger opponents.

An upset win for OMG might be a bit far-fetched, as Invictus Gaming are in fine form. Having said that, OMG forced both Royal Never Give Up and FunPlus Phoenix into three-map series, so there is no reason to believe they can’t do the same to Invictus.

TEAM WE vs ROGUE WARRIORS LPL SPRING SPLIT BETTING PREVIEW

Rogue Warriors will face the team formerly known as World Elite on Tuesday during Week 4 of the League of Legends Pro League (LPL) 2020 Spring Split in what promises to be a great fixture between two mid-table Chinese sides.

Team WE enter the week with a 3-3 record next to their name. So far this split, they have defeated Victory 5, ViCi Gaming and Dominus Esports but failed to see the same success against JD Gaming, Royal Never Give Up and FunPlus Phoenix.

Although Team WE are very much a mid-table team, they are still one of the most interesting Chinese LoL squads to watch. Jiang “beishang” Zhi-Peng and co. have become known for stomping weaker opponents but falling flat against the top teams in the LPL. Given they have only played in clean sweeps so far, it seems that every game is all or nothing for Team WE.

Team WE sit ninth in the league standings, which puts them right at the edge of the playoffs line, but we wouldn’t get our hopes up just yet. They still have a lot more to prove before they will be regarded as serious playoffs contenders, and defeating teams such as Rogue Warriors should be their priority.

Rogue Warriors started their 2020 season with a fifth-eighth finish at Demacia Cup 2019 but have failed to show anything spectacular in the LPL Spring Split, where they’ve lost to eStar, Oh My God, Invictus Gaming and LNG Esports and managed wins against Suning, EDward Gaming and Victory 5. That 3-4 record puts Rogue 12th in the league standings, one win short of reaching the top half.

Rogue Warriors’ most recent fixture took place on Sunday when they swept Victory 5, handing them their sixth defeat of the season and cementing V5 as the worst team in the LPL after three weeks of play. Sunday’s series was one-sided throughout, with Rogue closing out both games with a substantial kill and gold lead.

Kim “Crazy” Jae-hee was consistent in the top lane, Wang “WeiYan” Xiang proved to be a huge nuisance with his constant roaming pressure from the mid lane, and the bottom lane tandem of Mei “ZWuJi” Hong-Hui and Le “Ley” Yi had a decent showing, although we expected ZWuJi to be a bit more aggressive.

TEAM WE vs ROGUE WARRIORS LPL SPRING SPLIT BETTING PREDICTIONS

Team WE enter Tuesday’s match as heavy favourites at -192.31 with BetOnline, while Rogue Warriors sit at $2.42 for the outright win. That makes sense, as Team WE showed much more than Rogue in the opening three weeks of the season.

The problem is Team WE’s aggressive playstyle, which can sometimes backfire. They can stomp all over the weaker teams, but they often crumble once faced with a squad who know how to take advantage of opposition mistakes.

Rogue Warriors might have failed to show anything spectacular so far, but they are not overly aggressive and know how to punish their opponents’ errors, which is why they should be able to keep Team WE on their toes and push this series into three maps.

JD GAMING vs BILIBILI GAMING LPL SPRING SPLIT BETTING PREVIEW

Wrapping up the third day of Week 3 at the League of Legends Pro League (LPL) 2020 Spring Split is a clash between JD Gaming and Bilibili, who have a tendency to produce exciting fixtures when they meet on the Summoner’s Rift.

Bilibili Gaming got off to a strong start in their 2020 campaign with a fifth-eighth finish at Demacia Cup 2019, to which they added a perfect run through Week 1 of the LPL with wins over ViCi Gaming and Royal Never Give Up.

The two-month break that followed killed Bilibili’s momentum, as they dropped both games in Week 2 against LNG Esports and Suning. That poor run extended into game one of Week 3, when Bilibili lost to Oh My God (1-2).

Bilibili started strong against OMG and won the first map of the series by a hefty margin, but they dropped the ball in a big way in maps two (2-13) and three (11-21). Consistency is a problem for Bilibili and until they find some stability, it’s hard to expect anything great from them.

A perfect 2-0 result in Week 1, followed by a solid performance in their 1-2 loss to FunPlus Phoenix, a clean sweep against Victory 5 and a commanding 2-1 win over ViCi Gaming on Monday adds up to an impressive start from JD Gaming.

Not many people expected much from JD this season given they finished the 2019 LPL Summer Split in 10th place and lost their star ADC, Gu “imp” Seung-bin, to retirement. They entered the 2020 season with all guns blazing, however, and made a statement when they collected the bronze medal at the Demacia Cup.

Lee “LoKeN” Dong-wook, who arrived at JD Gaming as a replacement for imp, did not need long to gel with the team and has produced a few impressive showings so far, one of which was his pentakill against FunPlus Phoenix earlier this month. He boasts some of the best numbers among all ADC mains in the league, including a 20.0 KDA, 10.02 CSPM, 71.4% KPAR and 36.4% KS.

Seo “Kanavi” Jin-hyeok is another member of JD Gaming who deserves some praise, as he is one of the best junglers in the LPL right now. Out of all junglers, Kanavi is leading in all but one statistic, including KDA (6.62), CSPM (6.16), KPAR (78.1%) and GS (20.5%), while he is averaging 27.2% KS – 0.4% less than Rogue Warriors star Wang “WeiYan” Xiang.

JD GAMING vs BILIBILI GAMING LPL SPRING SPLIT BETTING PREDICTIONS

It’s hard to see this match as anything less than a one-sided bout where JD Gaming should come out ahead, and the betting odds at esports bookmakers reflect that.

JD Gaming looked strong since the LPL returned to action. While Bilibili are capable of much more than they have shown recently, it’s hard to find a solid reason to side with the underdogs here. Perhaps the absence of Zhang “Zoom” Xing-Ran could give Bilibili an edge, but they have never played through the top lane and they won’t suddenly change that this week.

Chu “FoFo” Chun-Lan will be the man to watch this game, as he will make or break Bilibili’s chances of upsetting JD Gaming. FoFo looked very iffy on Monday, where the only game his team won was when he played as a support mid laner. That either means he does not trust himself to carry his team, or his team doesn’t trust him to pick up a carry champion.

Either way, FoFo will struggle against Zeng “Yago” Qi. That makes Bilibili’s chances of winning very slim, which is why we will side with JD Gaming to pocket a clean sweep.

TEAM WE VS FUNPLUS PHOENIX LPL SPRING SPLIT BETTING PREVIEW

Team WE are set to face off against FunPlus Phoenix this Tuesday in Week 3 of the League of Legends Pro League (LPL) 2020 Spring Split, where both sides will chase their third win of the season.

After winning the 2019 LoL World Championship, FunPlus Phoenix made little to no effort to leave a mark at Demacia Cup 2019, where they fielded a second-string team. That, however, might not have been the best idea, as their championship roster entered the 2020 LPL Spring Split a bit rusty and lost both of their opening fixtures against Invictus Gaming and eStar.

Fortunately for FPX, the league came to a standstill amid the COVID-19 outbreak, which gave them almost two months to get themselves into a winning rhythm. It seems like the preparations paid off, as they pocketed two wins against JD Gaming (2-1) and Dominus Esports (2-0) in Week 2. While not wins that should earn FPX any kind of special praise, the reigning world champions at least bounced back from a 0-2 week and gained some confidence after a rough start.

Perhaps it was not so much the confidence they lacked, but rather synergy. FPX just recently signed Kim “Khan” Dong-ha to their roster and the team have not had much time to adjust to the new face. That said, FPX did not field Khan during their Week 2 fixtures but instead opted to send Kim “GimGoon” Han-saem onto the battlefield. The latter played well and finished series with 5/1/8 and 0/0/9 map stats respectively.

It remains to be seen whether Khan will remain benched in Week 3. It might not matter all that much, however, as FPX won’t play around top lane but will instead follow their in-form superstar mid laner, Kim “Doinb” Tae-sang.

The young and talented Team WE roster kicked off their 2020 season with a respectable fifth-eighth finish at Demacia Cup 2019. They failed to carry over the momentum into Week 1 of the LPL, where they lost to JD Gaming. Team WE managed to bounce back in Week 2, however, when they pocketed two comfortable wins against Victory 5 and ViCi Gaming.

Team WE failed to end the week with a perfect record, as they got stomped by Royal Never Give Up on Sunday. The match was very one-sided, which raises some questions as to whether Team WE are prepared to play a high-calibre team such as FPX.

TEAM WE VS FUNPLUS PHOENIX LPL SPRING SPLIT BETTING PREDICTIONS

Team WE enter this bout as heavy underdogs at +539 to win with BetOnline. While a young and talented roster, it’s clear they need a bit more time to grow as a team and gain the needed experience to compete against top LPL teams. They may find their stride in the summer or the 2021 season, but as it stands now, Team WE’s performances are very underwhelming.

Team WE’s top laner Park “Morgan” Gi-tae and mid laner Bae “Plex” Ho-young both played well in the opening two weeks and will act as the two main carries against FunPlus Phoenix. That said, they will have their work cut out for them against GimGoon/Khan and Doinb, who are elite players in their respective roles.

Lane-by-lane FPX are the superior team and there is no reason to believe they will struggle here. Doinb is in great form and if he can get ahead, the young superstar will carry his team to victory by himself. We expect nothing less than a clean sweep from FPX, who can’t afford to drop games against teams like Team WE.

ESTAR VS LGD GAMING LPL SPRING SPLIT BETTING PREVIEW

After a two-month hiatus, the League of Legends Pro League (LPL) is back. The fourth day of an extended Week 2 fixture will see the young eStar squad lock horns with a struggling LGD Gaming outfit.

LGD Gaming enter their third fixture of the LPL Spring Split with an underwhelming 0-2 tally, which sits them at the bottom of the league standings next to Suning. The fact that those losses came to Dominus Esports and LNG Esports raises some concern about their chances to leave a mark in the LPL this season.

Although LGD Gaming have never truly established themselves as one of the top dogs in the LPL, the renowned esports organisation entered the 2020 season with high expectations on their shoulders following a major roster reshuffle during the offseason.

Joining the long-serving trio of Hu “Yuuki” Hao-Ming, Ha “Kramer” Jong-hun and Guo “Lies” Hao-Tian were ex-Rogue Warriors support Liu “Killua” Dan-Yang, rookie support Pei “Chance” Piao, top laner Chen “Cult” Guo-Ji, mid laner Huang “Fenfen” Chen and former Gen.G jungler Han “Peanut” Wang-ho.

Peanut, who made a name for himself during his time at Rox Tigers and SKT T1, spent much of the 2019 season under heavy scrutiny from Korean esports fans even though he was statistically one of the best junglers in the country last season. Although he is not as good as he once was, his aggressive playstyle should help him shine in a meta that prioritises early-game aggression and champions such as Elise and Lee Sin.

The young and talented eStar are still a huge enigma as no one really knows how strong this team can be. Liu “Lucky” Jun-Jie’s squad got off to a strong start this season and claimed three wins over Rogue Warriors (2-0), reigning world champions FunPlus Phoenix (2-1) and Suning (2-1).

Right off the bat, it’s clear there are some inconsistencies with their results. The fact that eStar defeated Phoenix and lost one map against Suning suggests their win against Kim “Doinb” Tae-sang and co. was a fluke more than anything else.

That said, eStar’s mechanical skill is on an elite level. While they might lack experience, this team is bound to grow into a powerhouse as soon as they find some stability. Until then, however, eStar will most likely continue producing wobbly results.

ESTAR VS LGD GAMING LPL SPRING SPLIT BETTING PREDICTIONS

With eStar featured in this clash, it’s hard to exactly say how the match will end. They could either mechanically outclass the experienced LGD line-up or find themselves in an unknown situation from which they will have a hard time escaping.

The spotlight will be on the jungle matchup, where the 17-year-old Yan “Wei” Yang-Wei will have to prove himself against Peanut. Wei played a pivotal role in eStar’s win over FunPlus Phoenix with his constant pressure on the side lanes, but it remains to be seen if he can play at the same pace as Peanut.

Due to the volatile nature of eStar’s performances, there is a high possibility they might drop a map against an LGD side who will be desperate to pocket their first W of the season.

Some esports betting sites are paying as much as +114 for over 2.5 maps, which is hard to ignore, while LGD Gaming +1.5 maps is offering around -185.19. Both are solid bets, but we will take the higher odds and predict all three maps will be played.

ROGUE WARRIORS VS SUNING GAMING LPL SPRING BETTING PREVIEW

Day four of the 2020 LPL Spring Split will feature an exciting bout between Rogue Warriors and Suning Gaming, who will meet on the Rift for the first time since July 2019.

RW and SN have met 11 times since Rogue’s inception in December 2017, but we can throw their head-to-head record right out of the window given both sides enter 2020 with completely new rosters.

SEE ALSO: LEAGUE OF LEGENDS BETTING SITES

Rogue were not exactly fantastic last season, finishing the LPL Spring Split 15th with a 4-11 record and the Summer Split 13th with a 5-10 record. RW also finished ninth-16th at NEST 2019, where they were eliminated by Suning, and fifth-eighth at the 2019 Demacia Cup.

RW enter LPL 2020 as one of the weakest teams in the league, and we would not be surprised if they finished the season around 15th place. Their roster looks to be fairly average with the exception of Mei “ZWuJi” Hong-Hui, but even he does not stack up against star ADCs such as Lin “Lwx” Wei-Xiang, Lee “LokeN” Dong-wook, Jian “Uzi” Zi-Hao and others.

We expect ZWuJi to continue playing the role of the main carry for RW, but the team overall fails to inspire much confidence. While they have the potential to finish mid-table, their performance against eStar on Tuesday left a lot to be desired.

Unlike RW, Suning have the tools to make the final eight this season.

Suning lost their star mid laner Huang “Maple” Yi-Tang during the off-season but managed to keep hold of Hu “SwordArt” Shuo-Chieh, which is a massive positive in our books. Rather signing a replacement for Maple, the team allowed Xiang “Angel” Tao to role-swap from the top lane back to mid lane. Former jungler Wei “Weiwei” Bo-Han has moved down to the bottom lane, where he will play as an ADC.

There was a lot of hype surrounding Suning last season, but they failed to live up to the expectations as they finished the Spring Split 10th and Summer Split seventh-eighth. Suning also clinched a fifth-eighth finish at NEST 2019, where they lost to the eventual champions SinoDragon Gaming (now Dominus Esports) in the quarter-finals.

The expectations on Suning are significantly lower this season, which should, in theory, help them play without the added stress, yet we believe they will have to severely overperform to break into the top eight.

ROGUE WARRIORS VS SUNING GAMING LPL BETTING PREDICTIONS

Suning enter this bout as the stronger team and the betting odds at esports bookmakers show that. It’s not so much that SN are an exceptionally strong team, but rather that RW are a very weak team.

RW might have outperformed SN at the Demacia Cup, where they finished fifth-eight, but we would not say they deserve a standing ovation for beating the likes of Dominus, SDX Gaming and Invictus Gaming’s academy team.

Furthermore, RW severely underperformed against eStar in game one of the season and even their star ADC looked shaky on his feet. His job won’t be any easier this Thursday when he takes on SwordArt – one of the best supports in the league.

There are some uncertainties when predicting this match, considering we have not seen Suning play in the LPL yet, but they should have a fairly easy time defeating RW.
