]]>With the group stage of the Six Invitational now over, the event will move into the playoff phase for the second week of action.
Meanwhile, the second European PGL Major Copenhagen RMR will begin on Monday, February 19, with teams competing across the next three days in a bid to qualify for the opening Counter-Strike Major of 2024.
The second week of the Six Invitational will feature the 16 teams that qualified for the playoffs, with each competing in a double-elimination bracket over the next seven days.
After both G2 Esports and Soniqs ended the group stage with four wins and no losses, they will go into the playoffs as overwhelming favourites to take out the US$3 million tournament.
G2 are attempting to defend their Six Invitational crown after winning in 2023, while Soniqs are seeking to bring up their maiden Six Invitational triumph.

The PGL Major Copenhagen Europe RMR B will take place in an offline environment in Bucharest, Romania, where eight of the world’s top 20 Counter-Strike teams will feature in a 16-strong field.
Teams that win three series will qualify for the Major, and any side that racks up three series losses will be eliminated.
Only eight squads will earn automatic qualification; however, the teams that finish ninth, 10th, and 11th will play in the Last Chance Qualifier, which will take place on February 23–24.

Ninjas in Pyjamas and G2 Esports are two of the strongest teams attending Six Invitational 2024, but according to the R6S betting odds, theres quite a gap between the two.
The European no.1 seed and defending Six Invitational champions had a solid run at the end of 2023. They placed third at BLAST R6 Major Atlanta 2023 and cruised through R6 South Breach qualifiers but then fell apart in the main event, which they exited in the first round.
This puts a huge question mark above G2 Esports and their form; however, it’s not like Ninjas in Pyjamas are in a better spot. NiP have not played a single game this year and have no official matches on their record since BLAST R6 Major Atlanta 2023 in November.
G2 Esports look stronger on paper, but considering both squads are rusty, we can expect a close affair.

Spacestation Gaming had a very good run at BLAST R6 Major Atlanta 2023 in November. They made it through the group stage without any issues, beating Alpha Atheris and Team Bliss and adding three more victories against SKARZ, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and Bleed Esports in the playoffs.
Unfortunately, their run was cut short by FaZe Clan in the quarterfinals, marking their third premature exit from a big event in 2023.
Wolves Esports were also present at BLAST R6 Major Atlanta 2023 but couldnt make it through the playoffs, with defeats against Soniqs, Virtus.pro, and Geekay Esports. Theyve since not made any roster changes, but unlike SSG, Wolves have been active over the last month, producing mixed results in Malta Cyber Series.
Although Wolves have had a chance to warm up for the Six Invitational, their performances at the Malta Cyber Series dont inspire much confidence. These teams look evenly matched, so at plus money, we like Spacestation Gaming better.

DarkZero Esports made exciting roster changes in January, bringing on Nathan “Nafe” Sharp and Jason “Beaulo” Doty as replacements for Gaven “Gaveni” Black and Jason “Ryce” Ngo. While the new-look roster looks strong, it has yet to appear in a professional match — and it comes with an asterisk.
Beaulo hasnt played professionally for 11 months, so its hard to say how hell do at Six Invitational. But Nafe should be a more impactful addition to the roster, as DarkZero were lacking a solid support player.
Geekay Esports made a splash in late 2023 when they won MENA League 2023 Stage 2 and reached the quarterfinals of BLAST R6 Major Atlanta 2023. Despite not winning any big titles last year, Geekay played several competitive games against stronger opponents, suggesting they can do some damage in Sao Paulo.
DarkZero are the better team, but they might have a slow start due to the new signings. At +163 with esports betting sites, Geekay Esports are the more appealing choice.
FAZE CLAN vs DPLUS ESPORTS R6S BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

FaZe Clan are clear favouites to win Six Invitational 2024 Group B, whereas Dplus are arguably the weakest team of the five.
Dplus were the clear best team in South Korea in 2023, but their success in international events was limited to two group stage exits at BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen 2023 and Major Atlanta 2023. Ahead of 2024, Dplus signed former LAVEGA Esports player Jang “dmaly” Hyun-jun, but this minor change wont be enough for Dplus to reach their former heights.
FaZe Clan have not only won both Brazil League stages but also made the semifinals of BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen 2023 and Major Atlanta 2023. This perfectly illustrates the gap between the two squads.
Rust could play a factor but its hard to doubt FaZe and their chances to crush Dplus on Tuesday.

]]>With US$3 million in prize money up for grabs, the Six Invitational is one of the most prestigious events on the Rainbow Six Siege esports calendar.
Teams from all over the world will congregate in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to compete in the two-week tournament, which is widely considered the unofficial World Cup for R6S esport.
Meanwhile, the first regional VALORANT tournament will begin on Friday, February 16, with the VCT Americas Kickoff being held in Los Angeles, USA.
Also, the Dota 2 BetBoom Dacha event in Dubai will continue, with the playoffs taking place throughout the week.
The Six Invitational is the traditional opening tournament of the year, with the best teams from the year prior invited to take part.
In 2024, the Six Invitational will be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, marking the first time that the South American country has held the event and the first major Rainbow Six Siege tournament to be held there since 2018.
Most esports betting sites have w7m esports marked as the +400 favourite ahead of FaZe Clan (+700) and G2 Esports (+700) to claim the 2024 Six Invitational title.
Check out our extensive Rainbow Six Siege Six Invitational betting guide to get the latest odds and tournament information.
After one week of play, there are only eight teams remaining in Dota 2 BetBoom Dacha Dubai.
BetBoom Team, Gaimin Gladiators, Falcons and Azure Ray have all progressed to the upper-bracket semifinals, just two wins away from the grand final.
Check out our extensive Dota 2 BetBoom Dacha betting guide to get the latest odds and tournament information.
The Americas region will be the first of the four major VALORANT leagues to start its kickoff tournament, with the likes of Leviatan, NRG, Sentinels and Evil Geniuses headlining the 11-team competition.
Both the winner and runner-up of the VCT Americas Kickoff will automatically qualify for the VALORANT Champions Tour Masters in Madrid.
Bookmakers have marked Leviatan as the +175 favourite ahead of NRG (+200) and Sentinels (+450) to win the VCT Americas Kickoff event.

?In January, G2 Esports parted ways with Ben “CTZN” McMillan and replaced him with Benjamin “Benjamaster” Dereli, formerly of Heroic. Benjamaster is an interesting pickup who can help G2 Esports reach a higher level, but an even more impactful signing was the addition of William “Titan” Davie, who joined G2 Esports as an analyst.
Unlike G2 Esports, KOI didn’t make any roster moves ahead of Six Invitational 2023. The only change was the banner under which the European squad will fight.
G2 Esports and KOI (then Rogue) last met in October, when KOI won 7-2, and according to the latest R6S betting odds at BetOnline, they should come out ahead again. However, while KOI look stronger on paper, G2 Esports can cause serious damage, especially if Benjamaster fits well with the rest of the team.
As the first match of the season between two regional rivals, and rosters that aren’t that far apart talent-wise, this should be a close affair. Over 2.5 maps looks like a safe play.

?Team Liquid, alongside w7m esports, are the only team from Latin America that didn’t make any roster changes ahead of Six Invitational 2023, and that’s fine. Liquid might not have been the most dominant team in the region throughout 2022, but they weren’t that far off.
Liquid placed second in Brasileir?o 2022 Stage 3 and Copa Elite Six Stage 3, won the Brasileir?o 2022 Finals, and came one map short of winning Six J?nk?ping Major 2022. With those results, Liquid are rightly considered one of the favourites to win SI 2023, but Soniqs are not to ignoed.
Soniqs made a major roster change this offseason, adding G2’s Ben “CTZN” McMillan, who looks like a huge upgrade on paper. The team already performed well at the end of 2022 with a semifinal run at Six J?nk?ping Major 2022 and are not to be overlooked as a dark horse to win in Canada.
Team Liquid look stronger than Soniqs, and since they have made no changes, we can expect less volatility in their game. Still, at -140.85, Soniqs to win at least one map on Tuesday is an excellent offer we can’t pass on.
WOLVES ESPORTS vs MNM GAMING R6S BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

?In January, MNM Gaming replaced Callum “Neonical” Humphreys with Nathan “Nathan” Sharp, who returns to the squad after spending ten months with Natus Vincere. This move could work out for MNM Gaming and give them the little push they need.
Wolves Esports decided to run it back with the same French-Belgian roster, which makes sense. Even though Wolves struggled at Majors in 2022, with two top-eight finishes (Berlin and J?nk?ping), they still reached the semifinals in European League 2022 Finals, which was enough to end the season as the European League Season 2022 champions.
MNM Gaming last met with Wolves Esports in the semifinals of European League 2022, when they won 2-0, yet they’re the underdogs for this bout. Most of it has to do with the roster change, but we don’t see it affecting MNM negatively. There are questions about how Nathan will do with his new squad, but even so, MNM Gaming’s chances of winning are greater than what the latest Rainbow Six Siege betting odds show.

]]>The post Six Invitational returning to Montreal in 2023 with live audiences appeared first on Esport Bet.
]]>The group stage of SI 2023 will take place from February 7–11, followed by a day off on February 12. The playoffs will begin on February 13 and continue until February 15, followed by another day off on February 16.
The postseason will then pick back up on February 17, and the best-of-five championship match will take place on February 19. These latter three days will be open to the general public, and tickets are currently available for purchase.
After being moved to Paris, France, in 2021 and Stockholm, Sweden, in 2022, the Six Invitational will next year make its way back to its original home in Montral. Ubisoft had intended for SI 2022 to take place in Montral; however, renewed restrictions relating to COVID-19 in Quebec led the company to move the event to a different venue.
It is expected that the competition will adopt the same format as SI 2022, in which the 20 teams were divided into four groups. Every team participated in one best-of-three match against the other teams, with the following point distribution: three points for a 2-0 win, two points for a 2-1 win, and one point for a 1-2 loss.
Following this, the team that finished in first place in each group advanced to the second round of the upper bracket, while the teams that finished in second and third place advanced to the first round of the upper bracket. The teams that finished in fourth place moved into the lower bracket, while the teams that finished fifth were eliminated.
Every game in the playoffs was also a best-of-three, with the exception of the best-of-five championship match, which had no map edge. Instead of being required to veto one of the maps, the team competing in the top bracket was given the option to select one of the maps from which the process would begin.
Currently, eight teams have earned direct qualification for the Rainbow Six Siege tournament: XSET, DarkZero, Oxygen, and Astralis from North America; G2, Wolves Esports, and Rogue from Europe; and w7m esports from Brazil.
Starting on November 21, multiple prominent teams – including FaZe, FURIA, Team BDS, Soniqs, and Team Liquid – will compete in the J?nk?ping Major in an effort to secure a berth at the 2023 Six Invitational. The 20-team field at SI 2023 will be completed with the addition of four more teams via regional qualifiers.

?DAMWON Gaming had a rough start to the 2021 season with a seventh-place finish at APAC North Stage 1, but once the Korean Rainbow Six Siege roster found their traction, they became a force to be reckoned with. Most notably, DAMWON made it to the quarter-finals of Six Mexico Major by upsetting Ninjas in Pyjamas twice with 8-7, 8-6.
They kept the momentum going, placing third in APAC North Stage 3 in October, and made the semis at Six Sweden Major 2021 in November to round up a phenomenal year. DAMWON are a team that turns up the heat at any international event and can be very tough to beat once Sanghoon “yass” Yoo and co. find momentum.
MiBR scrapped their way to Six Invitational 2022, and this is not a team we believe can make much noise in Sweden. Not only have MiBR been very underwhelming since claiming bronze at Six Invitational 2021 in May, but MiBR will also be without their coach Matheus “Budega” Figueiredo, who left the team in December.
There is nothing that would suggest MiBR can cause an upset, which is why we have to side with DAMWON to get it done in straight maps.

?FURIA Esports look much better on paper than how they are. Across the entire year, they placed above fourth in only one tournament (CES Stage 3), although we have to consider that the rest of Brazil is highly competitive, so they might deserve some slack.
Still, FURIA have yet to carve a name for themselves and are a team that is always there but never on top. TSM has not been too impressive last season either, as a roster that many expected to perfect their formula over the 2021 season, considering there were no roster changes since March 2020. But things did not play out that way.
Nevertheless, TSM played exceptionally well in the Six Invitational 2022 qualifiers, proving that if all five players are healthy and appointed their preferred roles, TSM can cause some serious damage. Although we don’t expect TSM to go all the way, Brady “Chala” Davenport and co. have shown enough for us to believe they can play a competitive match against the LATAM’s fifth seed.

?HellRaisers disbanded last month, and there are reports which claim that their players are supposed to get picked up by Virtus.pro and Team Empire. Knowing that, it’s fair to assume that morale in Team Empire can’t be too high, and we expect that to show in their upcoming bout.
On paper, Team Empire look stronger, but the offered R6S betting odds don’t seem right. Soniqs played well at Six Sweden Major 2021 in November (9th-12th) and won the North American League 2021 Finals in December. Admittedly, they’re not one of the favourites to win the title, but Soniqs have been improving and should be at least competitive.
We don’t expect Team Empire to roll over and die, but we don’t have high expectations for them either due to the recent events. At the offered R6S betting odds, we have to side with Soniqs to kick off the Six Invitational with a win.

?Even though Alec “Fultz” Fultz and co. performed well at the end of 2021, when they finished top three in the North America League 2021 Finals, Spacestation Gaming likely won’t achieve much in Sweden. And there is a good chance they might end up crashing out from the group stage.
As the reigning Six Sweden Major 2021 champions, FaZe are one of the best R6S teams globally and look like serious candidates to claim at least a top-four finish. However, they are known for having iffy moments, so we would tame our expectations.
Although their lack of consistency can make you feel concerned about FaZe’s chances to go all the way, they should do more than fine against mid-table teams such as Spacestation Gaming. It might be risky backing the Brazilians to win their first match in two months without dropping a map, but at +117, this is a bet worth taking.

?Team Vitality last met with Team Secret in October, when the Bees won 8-6, marking their first head-to-head victory following a streak of four losses and a draw. But despite their poor head-to-head record, Vitality are expected to defeat Team Secret, whose only notable achievement of 2021 was keeping their spot in the European League with a runner-up finish in the relegation battle.
Vitality had a terrible start to the 2021 season and could only manage a seventh-place finish in the first stage of the European League. Still, things improved in October when Vitality placed third in European League 2021 Stage 3 and won the 6 French League Season 3. Besides that, Vitality performed reasonably well at the Six Sweden Major 2021, where they narrowly missed the playoffs.
Team Vitality should win, and there’s a solid chance they can do it without dropping a map.

?Cowana Gaming lead MNM Gaming 4-1-1 in the head-to-head; however, they lost their last clash in August, when MNM eliminated cowana from UK & Ireland Nationals Summer 2021. MNM placed second at the tournament and went on to win European Challenger League 2021 in November.
In December, MNM Gaming also won European League 2021 Relegation with a clean 3-1 victory against HellRaisers. On the other hand, Cowana might have fewer gold medals from the recent months, and they could only manage a sixth-place finish at European League Season 2021 at the start of the month.
Still, unlike MNM, cowana were at least active this year, and they were regularly competing in tournaments that featured some of Europe’s top R6S esports teams. MNM Gaming should be able to put up a fight, but at -147.06, we have to take the favourites.

]]>All national, international, amateur and professional Siege tournaments from 2018 to 2020 will follow a revamped structure, starting with the R6 Pro League, which will be split into two seasons running for six months each from June to November 2018 and December 2018 to May 2019.
Each season of Rainbow Six Pro League will gather the eight greatest teams for a larger-scale finals event, two from each region – Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America and North America C who will battle it out for a share of the US$275,000 prize-pool.
This new six-month long season format comes after Pro League Season 7, which will act as a transition period and will have its finals take place in North America in mid-May.
Tom Clancys Rainbow Six Challenger League will also change to a two-season per year event, starting in September and March and running for three months each. It will follow the transitional format of the upcoming Rainbow Six Pro League Season 7.
Ubisoft have also committed two Majors every year. The Six Invitational will continue to be held in February, but the new addition, the ‘Six Major’, will take place in Paris this August.
The Six Invitational and Six Major will offer up US $500,000 and $350,000 in prize money, respectively, and will host the top 16 international Rainbow Six Siege teams.
Finally, Rainbow Six Siege will have Weekly Online Tournaments, including Go4s, every Sunday on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with community cups and local ladders organised throughout the year in different regions, such as the UK ESL Premiership, with further details and a calendar schedule promised to be released soon.
The massive shake-up from Ubisoft is intended to put the Rainbow Six esports scene in the limelight, and we can’t say we’re unhappy given how far Rainbow Six Siege has come since its original bare-bones release in 2015.
We can only hope the bigger investments can help it stand out from the crowd and we can finally start seeing some regular betting markets.
While we wait for the renewed esports launch, Year 2 of the Rainbow Six Pro League is ongoing, with teams from all regions facing off in the second $500,000 Six Invitational next month, running February 13 – 18.
