The acquisition will see eFuse relaunch the social media assets of the esports media platform.<\/p>\n<p>The creation of a content section for the development of promotional content that will relay details and information about eFuse\u2019s events will also be facilitated by Esports.GG. He shared that within the past year, eFuse had recorded significant growth across its branded eRena tournaments and League business. This is said to be the bedrock of the acquisition of Esports.GG, to aid in the creation of a central destination for the brand&#8217;s hectic calendar.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn 2021, eFuse recorded so much growth across our branded eRena tournaments and league business that we acquired Esports.GG to help create a central destination for our jam-packed calendar,&#8221; Benson said. <\/p>\n<p>He also stated that Esports.GG will play a role in the acceleration of various eFuse\u2019s revenue channels. This, he said will be done via the generation of original content types and prompt coverage of eFuse\u2019s top events. <\/p>\n<p>With the acquisition, he projects a record-breaking year ahead for the brand. He also stated that he is thrilled to see the extent the Esports.GG can aid in getting eFuse working on an optimal level with top industry brands.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEsports.GG is going to help accelerate revenue opportunities by introducing original content formats and around-the-clock coverage of our biggest events,\u201d he continued. \u201cWe\u2019re set for a record-breaking year, and thrilled to welcome their help in reimagining how we work with the market\u2019s top brands.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While the cost of the deal was not disclosed, eFuse made it known that the acquisition was born out of the brand&#8217;s need to boost its content development division. eFuse also stated that the importance of supporting its growing community of gamers and brand partners was not lost on the brand, hence the acquisition of Esports.GG.<\/p>\n<p>While both brands had a good run in 2021, 2022 has seen eFuse and Esports.GG in the news in recent times for controversies that bother on societal issues and policy adherence. In May, the chief strategy officer of eFuse, Patrick Klein was accused of gross misconduct during his time at Ohio State University in 2017. Due to the backlash he received, Klein was forced to resign, leaving his position vacant. <\/p>\n<p>Earlier in March, Esports.GG had resorted to taking off all content on its TikTok platform. This was done owing to allegations of the brand&#8217;s usage of other creators&#8217; content. The channel is said to still be dormant and will continue to remain so for the foreseeable future.<\/p>\n<p>Head of content, Halina \u2018BlondeVenom\u2019 Malik, who will be leading the Esports.GG team commented on the acquisition. She stated that Esports.GG is the perfect vehicle for eFuse to use in expanding its brand.
