{"id":8174,"date":"2019-09-18T00:52:21","date_gmt":"2019-09-18T00:52:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/esportbet.com\/?p=8174"},"modified":"2020-10-05T22:04:09","modified_gmt":"2020-10-06T02:04:09","slug":"fortnite-champions-series-finals-schedule-revealed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/esportbet.com\/fortnite-champions-series-finals-schedule-revealed\/","title":{"rendered":"Fortnite Champions Series finals schedule revealed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Epic Games has released the schedule and format for the upcoming <a href=\"\/epic-confirms-10m-prize-pool-for-fortnite-champion-series\/\" title=\"$10m prize pool confirmed for Fortnite Champions Series\">Fortnite Champions Series<\/a> finals, which will run from Friday, September 20 to Sunday, September 22.<\/p>\n<p>The Champions Series has focused on Trios over Solos or Duos, giving players a chance to compete with and against the best of the best in the <a href=\"\/fortnite-battle-royale\/\" title=\"Fortnite Battle Royale esports\">Fortnite esports scene<\/a> for leaderboard points. <\/p>\n<p>The first-ever Champions Series finals will feature some of the best-known names in the business, including <a href=\"\/us-stars-dominate-2019-fortnite-world-cup\/\" title=\"US stars dominate Fortnite World Cup\">Fortnite World Cup<\/a> winner Kyle &#8220;Bugha&#8221; Giersdorf and several other heavyweights.<\/p>\n<p>Two days of heats will culminate in grand finals on Sunday, like so:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Friday (7-10pm EST) &#8211; Heat 1<\/li>\n<li>Saturday (11am-2pm EST) &#8211; Heat 2<\/li>\n<li>Saturday (3-6pm EST) &#8211; Heat 3<\/li>\n<li>Saturday (7-10pm EST) &#8211; Heat 4<\/li>\n<li>Sunday (3-6pm EST) &#8211; Grand Finals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The tournament will feature teams from seven different regions &#8211; NA East, NA West, Europe, Brazil, Asia, Oceania and the Middle East &#8211; all fighting for the largest slice of a US $10 million prize pool.<\/p>\n<p>There are a few teams that stand out from the rest &#8211; some due to their superb performances throughout the qualifiers, others because they boast some of the biggest names in the Fortnite world.<\/p>\n<p>The top Trios include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>FaZe Mongraal, Mitr0, NRG benjyfishy (Europe)<\/li>\n<li>Solary Airwaks, LeStream Vato, Solary Nikof (Europe)<\/li>\n<li>E11 Tschiiinken, E11 Stompy, Cooler aqua (Europe)<\/li>\n<li>Tfue, Liquid Fiber, diuqil adanahk (NA East)<\/li>\n<li>SEN Bugha, Stretch, RS clarityG (NA East)<\/li>\n<li>TSM ZexRow, yung calculator, MackWood1x (NA East)<\/li>\n<li>100T Arkhram1x, Bloom Falconer, TSM Vinny1x (NA West)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The only significant format change for the finals is the addition of the heats, where each team will have three hours to complete six fixtures. <\/p>\n<p>Matches will start up every 30 minutes and any team that misses their queue will be automatically placed last, meaning they end the heat with zero eliminations.<\/p>\n<p>Each elimination is worth a point, while scores for finishing positions are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Victory Royale &#8211; 15 points<\/li>\n<li>Runners-up &#8211; 12 points<\/li>\n<li>Third-Fourth &#8211; nine points<\/li>\n<li>Fifth-eighth &#8211; six points<\/li>\n<li>Ninth-12th &#8211; three points<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Unlike the Fortnite World Cup, the Champions Series finals are not taking place in a LAN environment;
